You do realize that Trypticon's G1 toy was somewhat taller than Metroplex's G1 toy because it was in fact substantially bigger than Metroplex (and between that and the motor, cost almost twice as much), yes?o.supreme wrote:Scorponok looks great. I'm also so glad they didn't make him smaller like Trypticon. Also there was some early rumors he had parts sharing with Omega Supreme. Glad to know he is unique, and big enough to be Fort Max rival, undoing the error of the original Can't wait to get it

-- Need two more gray canons. Maybe replace all of them to make the canons posable.
-- The big gun that can split into city towers.
-- Radars and bits for the city mode. Those could combine into a bot like the deluxe "armor" guys.
-- Two proper silver "armor plates" to complete the bot mode for his legs.

This stuff, plus I wish there was an optional clear face shield for some real G1 figure/Mega Zarak cartoon authenticity.
Also wish he could use his tail stinger in bot mode like the original, but not even an upgrade kit can fix that it seems.
I really do love that all the hollow spots actually serve a purpose in at least one mode and gets covered when not in use (aside from the ankles in bot mode). Nice having somewhere to put the shield in scorpion mode.

ZeroWolf wrote:Here's a question though, say that Takara decides to do a Selects Black Zarak, how would they manage the head? In the story for Masterpiece he wasn't a headmaster anymore, having wired himself into the core of the transector. I mean easiest option would just give the head units a new coat of paint (after the retool of course) but would they even need to include the Titan master?

For me this is one of the most disappointing titans but already ordered it... And if they release it as black zarak I'll be buying it again

Even more disappointing then TR Fortress Maximus? How so? I think they did a really good job within the limits they had to work with.
Im still waiting to see the spear mode as well.
As for the Black Zarak you coming with a headmaster, that's because I completely forgot that it came with one

They dont carrry them in stores, just online. Are you saying those who preordered him on the website never got him?

ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:TR Trypticon meanwhile is the same size as T30 Metroplex. He's just shorter because being a T. Rex in robot mode means that size is distributed differently; a lot of it's in the big fat T. rex tail, for instance, plus he has a consistently thick torso (especially when you factor in his back)...
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Scorponok's robot mode height is also affected by his tail (hence why he's not quite as tall as Metroplex and Fort Max), but not as much since it's not as huge as Trypticon's (Tryps' tail is the same length as his entire torso). On the upside, his height is boosted by the fact that his robot mode is humanoid rather than bestial.
ZeroWolf wrote:I thought Titans didn't go for $200? Given his dimensions, you might be luckier in the next Metroplex being smaller like his G1 self
Typically they go for around $50ZeroWolf wrote:I thought Titans didn't go for $200? Given his dimensions, you might be luckier in the next Metroplex being smaller like his G1 self
