Total agreement here. It wouldn't have made the figure better overall, but it would have made her different. Different enough to be more worth the effort.

It was a convention/retailer exclusive with confusing distribution, but we just got a Titan Master Arcee three years ago. The TMs we've gotten in WfC were the last of the standard headmasters, they're exceptional. I'm disappointed in the figure, but valuing G1 accuracy with removable kibble is more consistent with the overall line than another Headmaster would be.

Unlike Scorpinok, you mean? ;)

Titan Master Arcee is a pink Blur. I mean, it exists. But it's not really a great representation of Headmaster Arcee.

Seems like those guys (whatever I'm getting for myself and my son) will have to be gotten pretty quickly.

Time between initial distribution of waves /= length of distribution of those waves.

I'm aware of that. However, we do have the final installment of the trilogy to look forward to, and there may be some butting up against the timeline for release of that sub-line. I'm just going by the dates - which TDLR don't necessarily mean anything, but also could mean something.

Titan Master Arcee is a pink Blur. I mean, it exists. But it's not really a great representation of Headmaster Arcee.

QFT. TR Arcee is just not very good. Not even because she's not that accurate, but rather because she's so obviously just Blurr in very bad cosplay. Also the attempt to meld Blurr's cockpit chest with Arcee's traditional torso design makes her look like she's wearing a see-through top, which is admittedly rather funny.

Honestly, I'd rather we just got a redesigned Arcee at this point. If Megatron can be a tank (which I wholeheartedly support) I see no reason why Arcee can't have a robot mode that can actually transform without just being a retool of a guy. Someone posted a redesign of Arcee, and I have to say I quite like it.

Still looks feminine without just looking like a non-transforming gynoid wearing a backpack.

That's a pretty nifty design, I think it works quite well. I'd be all for that, honestly G1 Arcee as she was, is perfect fodder for the R.E.D line. She'd be perfect there.

For added fun, add back some of the black from the T30 release, increase the white, give her a red light and boom, world's cutest police car, and also stealth homage to the pink vehicle from Power Rangers SPD/Dekaranger!

Her existing altmode, when properly shaped, is pretty close to being a Corvette.

Not to mention, it's rarespensive.

Eh, "very bad cosplay" would be if they hadn't given her the new shield, upper arms, and hand covers. They weren't going to make an entirely new Deluxe mold for an exclusive, and out of all the Titans Return molds, Blurr was the most suitable.

The thing is,the recent tank Megatrons have still preserved the Walther-based legs and and arms for the sake of still resembling the cartoon design. And Arcee's design ended up with humanoid legs... The fact that she has a curvy car mode as well as a curvy robot mode means that it should be possible to make that design transformable (unlike Elita's squad, where they'd be better off giving up on most of the bot mode curves because of the boxy, angular altmodes). The T30 toy already proves that better integration is possible (and doesn't idiotically go out of its way to try vanishing the wheels), and I'm certain there are ways to improve beyond that... I reiterate that it would help if she'd gotten a toy in 1986 like she was supposed to, because then designers would have that as a baseline to work off of instead of just the animation model.

All I'm saying is, we got Apeface and Snapdragon and Skorponok because they were skipped in Titans Return. Arcee only got a minor retool, but she still got a figure. It wasn't her turn.

Think of it this way: if we had gotten a proper Headmaster Arcee, how many people would instead be complaining that the T30 figure was overdue for an update?

That's an odd way of looking at it considering vanilla Arcee already had a figure that was a G1 robot mode with a G1 vehicle mode. Either way it's a retread.

It's not like Earthrise is a line that's afraid of retreading characters.

Although we're getting away from talking about the figures themselves now...

I've always thought a Dodge Viper would be a pretty sweet alt mode for Arcee.

New Video Reviews of Transformers Earthrise Deluxe Class Smokescreen and Decepticon Clones Two-Pack

Greetings Seibertronians! The flood of video reviews continue as we have two new ones for you all to look at!

The first comes from Jon Toys Reviews on YouTube and is the final Wave 2 Deluxe, Smokescreen! This is an earth mode version of the character that was released as part of Generations Selects last year, as a redeco/retool of Siege Prowl. This time round it looks like Smokescreen nabbed the retail spot while rumours have it that Prowl is the exclusive.

The second review is of the Target exclusive Decepticon Clones two pack, and comes from Seibertron's own, Chuckdawg1999.

Here's his thoughts on these releases:
Chuckdawg1999 wrote:They're TWINS! The Decepticon clones are one of those, or two of those, rare almost forgotten teams from the later part of G1. Originally released under the Titans Return banner, this set is a US release of the Japanese decos. They're simple figures that can be fiddly at times, but really don't move the needle one way or the other. If you had them as a kid like I did You'll probably be moved to pick them up.

Check out both video reviews here!

I'd imagine it'd be when Ratchet would be announced, otherwise our first look at a new mould would be part of an exclusive set.

So glad they fixed the feet issue with Smokescreen. My biggest gripe with the Siege mold was that the feet didn't seem to lock in place, they kept slipping back into alt mode position. Hopefully there's some truth to those Earthrise Prowl rumors, cause I'm definitely going to upgrade.

The Prowl/Ironhide two-pack isn't a rumor, it's a straight-up listing on multiple of the European Amazon sites, and Bluestreak as some kind of exclusive that would get a full case all to himself was also a leaked listing in a store database. These are beyond rumors at this point.

What if earthrise Ironhide is the G2 version? and is there anything that G2 iron hide could be repainted into for selects...

This would give studio series the movie Ironhide.

Also it has happened that we had listings and even real id numbers and the toys were never revealed and never released. Like T30 Gnaw and Brawn.
