Oh, I know what clunky means. And as someone who owns TR Wheelie and Bumblebee, and PotP Outback and Slash (also CW Blackjack but he doesn't count as a Minibot per se), I don't think they're clunky. They have decent articulation for their size, the pieces don't get in each others' way, they transform fairly smoothly, they scale with modern figures, and they don't have balance issues. How can you call that "clunky"?Stargrave wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:cackman17 wrote:The mini bots in prime wars and titans return were weak. Off scale and clunky. The siege micromasters today are 100% the same scale/version of the mini bots 35 years ago. That’s all I’m saying- it would be cool to see that run again. Maybe “slightly” bigger than the micro masters- barley. It would be cool. But that’s just my take. Not right, not wrong- just my vision.
1. Prime Wars is the trilogy that contains Combiner Wars, Titans Return, and Power of the Primes, so saying "Prime Wars and Titans Return" is redundant and ignorant.
2. So, you're saying that they're "off scale" because they were made bigger than the original Minibot toys to be IN scale with the similarly bigger-than-the-G1-toy versions of the rest of the cast? I don't think you know what scale means.
Or "Clunky" for that matter, because they have decent articulation for their small size. I know, I own some of them.
Redundant, maybe, but ignorant? No, that’s not necessary.
Also they’re extremely clunky. I don’t think you know what clunky means.

Definitely looking forward to seeing Grapple and Soundbarrier.

This could be interesting, much like the Titans Return Arcee and Blurr with that hood which could be held as a shield.Jtprime17 wrote:Arcee, the ruthless autobot warrior, turns into the classic 15-step sports car mode and includes a blaster as an accessory. Remove the trunk from the character for a more stylish look and use it as a hoverboard.

That being said, I was kinda hoping Earthrise Arcee would turn out to be a retail version of Titans Return Arcee.

And now I'm a little less interested in Arcee. I was hoping she'd have an actual Earth mode like in IDW, but if it's just the same G1 alt mode then that's a major let down for me. Never really cared for the design of it. Maybe when it's revealed I'll change my mind, but at the moment, Arcee's probably a pass

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I think "Earth mode" is copypaste Earthrise boilerplate.
That being said, the G1 car mode technically is an Earth mode, because Floro Dery conceived Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Arcee, and Springer's altmdoes as being future!Earth cars. Arcee in particular actually looks a lot like a Corvette. Seriously, put T30 Arcee in car mode next to G1 Tracks or ROTF Sideswipe in car mode.

Gen Wheeljack just looked and felt way too...fat? It was fine for Wheeljack but I think that sorta thing hurt the Tracks retool making him feel less sleek then he should of.
