Source?

I'm pretty sure Will is actually incorrect on this.

Siege went on to wave 5. Wave 5 came out around the time wave 1 of Siege came out, which makes sense, 1 wave for 3 months. I have always said Earthrise would start showing up around now, this is Wave 2 Siege time AKA Earthrise starting. And then wave 2 Earthrise will be here around the summer, which is also why they haven't been in a hurry to do the reveals.

Probably. I mean, he's a well-known entity and there's always the Armada mold.

Does anyone know why he was released practically first and in such large quantities? When I think of fan favorite characters, neither G1 Shockwave nor IDW Shockwave stand out.
First.. As others have said, A. he actually is a fan favorite and one who hadn't gotten many CHUG toys and B. There was a design for him ready from PotP (the SIEGE figure shows severally signs of being a hasty conversion from PotP's "Evolution" gimmick to the C.O.M.B.A.T. system). As for what I have to add... Releasing him in the first wave gave more of a Decepticon presence on the shelves.

And between some collectors being salty about the size class and him not having the same kind of flash as Magnus and Galaxy Upgrade Optimus, he's sadly lingered (the restock didn't help). And of course, Shockwave shelfwarming has held back Astrotrain because Astrotrain is also a purple guy.

So, I just realized that Ironworks' hook hand is on a 5mm peg. If I'm being extremely hopeful, I would hope we could get a Lockdown at some point the has one hand as a 5mm post, and the other as a port, but realisticly it was just an odd choice for a connection like Cog's treads being "removable"

Hasn't Shockwave also had the highest number of repacks? Though I guess it was Magnus that was packed with Siege Astrotrain? (explains the couple of Magnus I've seen recently).

Found a little slice of ER at a south Louisiana Target. Did some investigative reporting and scanned a few of the boxes on the new fancy price check tablets. Pretty sure this has been brought up and probably confirmed, but it does seem that for now Siege and ER are sharing SKUs or DPCI or whatever.

Scanned leader OP and they showed 10 in-stock and 1 in the back. There was about about 8 Shockwaves on the shelf. I'm really shocked ER leaders where even on hand, that might toss the shelf-warmers hold up new stock theory right out the window (but where was AT?). Grapple showed 7 in-stock and one in the back (there was 3 Grapples and 4 Seige Megatrons on the shelf). No deluxes or rampmasters to scan and I didn't bother with the micromasters.

Asked an employee to check in the back and all they came back with was a single Starscream (which wasn't on the shelf). They also sorta kinda confirmed that as far as inventory goes there's no way to tell Siege from ER. They scanned a Siege deluxe and said more was scheduled to arrive next week. I'm not a betting man, but I'd put money on that being ER deluxes. So there you go, but enough talk, I have toys to play with. 8-)

I think the extra obstacle to Astrotrain getting on the shelves while Shockwave's warming 'em is that he's a purple guy like Shockwave is (also a gray guy, but still).

I just dropped by a Target to check and saw Astrotrain in the Earthrise packaging, along with several Shockwaves, Magnuses, and Primes. Hopefully they'll change whatever they need to so they can clearance all the Siege leaders away and make space for the upcoming figures. I'd hate to have to buy the leaders for this line online because of shelfwarmers, but it wouldn't be the first time, and probably won't be the last

Clearancing the SIEGE Leaders might be another reason some stores are holding back on stocking Earthrise leaders (or at least, on shelving them). Since SIEGE and Earthrise are the same to the computers, and each figure in a class is the same to the computers, they wouldn't be able to discount SIEGE Leaders in the computer without marking down Earthrise leaders. Although they could use stickers, I think. (But of course, that's labor and sticker paper the managers don't want to pay for)

Thinking about it, seeing ER Astrotrain out on the shelves before he had a chance to get there in SIEGE packaging makes sense. ER's different package art makes its boxes stand out more.

...Something just occurred to me about this line and its abbreviation. I'm betting there's going to be loads of TFwiki captions referencing a certain medical drama.

Man, so I was convinced last year that Siege Prime was going to be my definitive prime and the only real reason I was going to get the Earthrise version was for the trailer. The biggest thing for me was the transformation, it is just fun on the Siege version. I love what the legs do to hide the wheels and how the front wheels tuck up into his obliques. Both of these features are unique to the Siege version and weren't carried over to the Earthrise version.

Then I found Earthrise Prime yesterday and after first impressions, my Prime problem just got a little bit bigger.

The Earthrise version is fantastic, and it is really the transformation that is pushing me to possibly sell of the Siege version so soon. The panel magic they performed with the matrix chamber and front of the cab is outstanding. I think I may even like this transformation better despite the fact that the legs do basically nothing other than point the toes, push the legs together and then sit down. They way everything else transforms into a really tight cab is outstanding. I'm going to give it a couple weeks before I decide if Siege Prime gets pushed into the ebay pile with T30 Hoist and Cliffjumper, but it is looking likely as of right now.

I was only into this for the trailer and base mode compatibility. So this is a case for me where thank goodness it was a leader class with the trailer. If it was just the voyager cab, I would have passed, and missed out big time.

This one ;)^

I wouldn't make the drive unless you can confirm they are still there. I posted the sighting here and elsewhere and the BR TF collectors seem just as ravenous our NOLA counterparts.

EDIT: I haven't checked our other Target, but it usually gets stock about the same time. Happy hunting.

Scorpy will already be scaled to Fortress Maximus. Why rescale him?

The images of Sky Lynx puma mode should satisfy those on the fence when he first leaked. Can't tell much of Arcee as ign inists on not giving me the full picture. Alt looks nice though.

Skylynx looks awesome, guess I need to find a buyer for my CW version #-o

Arcee looks like a beefier take on the T30 version and I like it. Her hands also look to be 5mm compatible while still being open. Surfboard is a little lame but all the 3rd party takes on Arcee do the same thing, if not worse, so I'm cool with it. Sky Lynx is really cool but my money will probably be spent on Scorponok, especially with the double headmaster going on.

Transformers Earthrise Deluxe Arcee, Fasttrack, Commander Sky Lynx, Titan Scorponok Revealed

Postby notsoalex » Thu Feb 20, 2020 12:15 pm

Weapon: Dual Low-Radiation 1 Megaton Proton Bombs
Thanks to a heads-up from Seibertronian Sabrblade, we have news of an IGN article revealing four new Earthrise toys before New York Toy Fair 2020. The four toys in question are Deluxe Class Autobot Arcee, Decepticon Fasttrack, Commander Class Sky Lynx, and Titan Class Scorponok. Check out the images and information presented, and tell us your thoughts in the Pub forums below.

Toy Fair, the largest toy trade show in the entire western hemisphere, is underway in New York, and Hasbro just announced some pretty awesome new additions to the Transformers: War for Cybertron line to coincide with the upcoming War for Cybertron animated series Arc 2: Earthrise coming to Netflix later this year.
Check out the new figures in the slideshow below:

The figures will be available for preorder on HasbroPulse beginning Saturday, February 22, with availability "at most major toy retailers" later this year.

Earthrise Commander Sky Lynx is the first figure to hit retailers, with a July 1 release date. After that, Scorponok and Arcee hit August 1 and Fasttrack is scheduled to release on October 1, 2020.

If you're not familiar with the War for Cybertron line, they're the Transformers you know and love in their Cybertronian incarnations. The figures have great paint and sculpting, and while transformations are more complicated than the G1 figures you might be used to, the end results are much more detailed.

Toy Fair is currently underway in New York City with NERF announcing a partnership with the upcoming Halo Infinite for replica Halo NERF blasters coming later this year.
