The only* other possible Titan remaining (one that could tie into WFC, at any rate) is Grandus.

Image

The Micromaster base former, would have probably remained an obscure outlier, if not for the resurgence of Masters in general across this line. Plus he ties into the same lore as Star Convoy and Super Megatron. So he has a better chance than most.

There is also Unicron Trilogy's Tidal Wave. He is also likely, but I imagine a New UT figure that size would require a fan poll.

*There is also this one: Sky Garry.

A Cybertronian Starship, also labelled as a Micromaster base. Much like prior Triple Former City Bots.

I'd definitely be all for a Grandus Titan. However, remember this is Titan *class*

I like to think that each year we get a Titan Class toy it is special (hopefully like the Commander Class will be in time, 2 years in a row is good, but not enough to establish a pattern yet).

I know a lot of younger fans are enamored with Armada Tidal Wave. He would make a great CC figure, but not a Titan Class.

Aside from Grandus, I'd definitely be happy with Raiden (6 voyagers just like CW/UW Devastator), or even Monstructor/Dinoking at that same 18 inch scale. I'm going back and forth with Galaxy Shuttle. He certainly is big enough, but never really did anything in Victory worthy of his size, which was kind of sad.

Repaints such as Black Zarak and Metrotitan would be welcome, but I think those would be more for a :TAKARATOMY: Selects release.

Although Fort Max reused many of T30's Metroplex' parts, it seems the past few years Hasbro has wanted to make each Titan Class toy special, lets hope that continues for years to come. Would I want a more *Original Series* looking Metroplex?, perhaps in time, but I'd rather have every truly obscure character worthy of a Titan Class figure be done fist, before Hasbro starts doing them again.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

Never felt Grandus as a Titan. Him, Sky Garry, and Star Convoy are all roughly the same size, SC might actually be bigger than both depending on the art since he dragged them around. Knowing that then why make a virtually unknown Grandus a Titan at all when they could just make a far more recognizable Titan Star Convoy and sell a bajillion of them? Scale wise (which is super important to WFC) they're pretty standard Transformer size, not mile high giants.

Image

They turn into Micromaster bases, lots of figures do, there's no real good reason for them to be titans. Old/tall leader should be enough.

I've mentioned this before, but If things keep going the way they are, and after ER already got a late start, and Hasbro has to delay Earthrise into 2021 we very well could see a second Titan in ER. After all, thanks to Titans Return getting a lopsided run we ended up getting two Titans (Fortress Maximus and Trypticon) in that line. This is a very real possibility.

But I do get your point. Until we can actually talk to Warden and ask when he plans on ending ER (and even he may not know just now with so many uncertainties in the world) this probably isn't the place for speculation. I'm just saying it can happen. :)

I think a good titan would be Raiden, purely because I love trains and I don't think he's had a figure for a long time!

Well...Takara are doing MP Raiden.

So are we all thinking on the same lines then that ER will be given a do over of sorts giving the current climate?

Seems Hasbro's wish for one generations line a year went completely out of the window didn't it!

I know the MP Raiden is happening, but a generations scale one would be nice too I think, but it probably wont be for a while

But you do realise that CW Devy started out as MP Devy... There's precedence for hasbro to ask the Takara designers to lower parts count where possible in order to fit it into the Titan Class price point. Then Takara would restore it to the original design.

On the other hand, the fact that Takara are doing an MP Raiden could preclude Titan Class Raiden for a fair while yet. End of the day, just wait to see what materialises from Takara.

The reason why I thought to suggest Grandus and Sky Garry to this thread, wasn't to imply them being made as big as Omega Supreme or Fort Max. I wouldn't consider either viable as "Titan Class" in the strictest sense, but adapted in the same way as Ironworks.
As a 'Titan Micromaster', a very relative description. Besides, much like Ironworks, they can be re-imagined as anything for this line. So for them to be no taller than Star Convoy wouldn't be an issue. They would be a "City" or "Starship" for Micromasters exclusively, not anyone else.

What size classes would you sell them in then? I also doubt they would be reimagined in this line as they seem perfect fodder for Takara on their Selects line.

Well one thing I think this WFC line has made interesting use of, is the Modulator concept. Brunt, Six Gun, Ironworks etc Why not expand on these with a series of figures the next size after deluxe? I wouldn't see an issue with Grandus or Sky Garry being Voyager Class, to accommodate being a Micromaster Titan/play set.

Nah the only Voyager modulator that needs to exist is Victory Leo, to go along side leader Class (or commander class) Star Saber. I just expect them in the next line. If they were going to introduce voyager class modulators, they'd have done it in the first wave (plus I feel the Micromaster vehicles would be a better fit for that role)

In the meantime, MP Star Saber is a good stand-in since he is already Commander class-sized, being more in scale with CHUG than with MP.

So with everything that went down in the world with COVID-19 I've ended up moving most of my 'to buy' list into 'if I find them' list, since we're all broke and toilet paper and food is a lot more important than little plastic robot dudes. That mean right now the only Earthrise figure on my 'must have' list is Snapdragon since he's a figure I've been waiting for since Titans Return.

Beyond that it's just the rest of the Seacons and Super Megatron from SELECTS but the latter isn't showing up for a while anyway.

He's also more in line with CHUG in complexity as well. For an MP he's very simple to transform. Remove the die cast and replace the Brain with a Titan Master and he's basically a CHUG Commander.

Slight change of topic, I've got Earthrise Astrotrain, and I like him, but he has some super loose knees. Was the Siege release like this? If he's standing upright and I tap his chest he'll just fall right over at the knees with his feet still planted. He wont stand at all with the empty backpack on. Was the Siege release like this, too? Of all the things that could be wrong with this figure I wasn't expecting bad knees to be what disappointed me.

It's because there aren't a lot of cheatsy shenanigans going on with his animation model for them to try and accommodate, so he doesn't need to be very complex. MP Grimlock has a simple transformation for the same reason.

Oof, that's unfortunate.
Sadly, aside from the site gallery we've seen more whinging about Astrotrain's shuttle mode than we've seen people sharing their pictures of him or discussing their in-hand experience.

So if WFC [PART 3] is post-Earth, who is actually going to be a part of it at this point?? We have Micromasters, alongside Season One and Two bots. With outliers such as Skylynx, Doubledealer and Quintessons.

Rodimus hasn't been part of WFC yet. So I'd assume he is "Autobot Leader", alongside Galvatron for his counterpart. Will they be joined by Star Saber, Dezarus, Dai Atlas etc? Or do you see there being more of a blend of Future Transformers series characters instead ala UT, [non-stylised] Animated, Prime etc

If anything, I'm assuming it will be Rebirth era with new versions of the Targetmasters and some other randoms thrown in. That or Movie era so they can cover a new Prime and Megatron, and Rodimus and Galvatron, especially since Unicron should be coming out next year.
