I was always going to get Doublecrosser. However now that we see he is actually a 4-way connector, I want him even more. That is awesome!

I think that was one of the first things revealed about him.

Hmmm... other than name, faction, and that he had 2 heads, I didn't remember anything else revealed about him.

I didn't know it existed at all!

Look pretty dope. I want it.

I just realized something: We might not actually be getting the orange cockpits for the Coneheads. The Amazon product page shows the orange, but we also have "leaked" images of the figures with the white cockpits




Personally, I prefer the orange on Dirge and Ramjet, but it's worth noting that just because of the product shots, doesn't mean that it's the final color scheme (see Optimus Prime's hands and eyes)

The ones that were actually purchased by someone at retail in Hong Kong iirc had the orange cockpits (that's where a good chunk of the pics of ones with orange cockpits came from), so unless these show up at more people's houses and they take pics and they're white, I'm gonna say the final product has the orange, and the ones with white are testshots.

Ah, I wasn't aware people were already getting them. I just kinda assumed that the stolen prototypes would be closer to finished production, rather than the product shots which have been proven unreliable this year

I'd still be pretty surprised seeing as how the ones shown with clear cockpits have T numbers printed on them (I'm guessing Thrust has one on his head) making them still not final figures. Since then we've seen official photos and in-hand purchases with orange cockpits. Just doesn't seem likely.

Anyway, in other news, Scorponok is back up for order on Amazon. Just ordered one using $40 in gift cards I've been saving up from Bing all year, ended up costing me $128. Not taking a chance on the price dropping this year.

Just ordered him, thanks for the heads up. I now have both Sky Lynx and Scorponok on order and they will both be the first figures I own in their respective classes. Sky Lynx is a must because of all the pics I've seen of him giving Optimus a ride. And I need Scorponok to complete the Decepticon Headmasters from The Rebirth.

That is interesting. I pre-ordered both Scropnok and SkyLynx from Amazon originally and they said October 1st for the release date. I cancelled Skylynx when I found him at target, but Scorponok still said October 1st last night until it shipped this morning. I think you are right with them likely getting a second batch of each one. However, with enough people like me dropping their pre-orders on either figure, they could have some left over from the first batch. Time will tell.

Counterpunch, are you getting your toys all from the same source or various sources? If its all from one place (All B&M ,. or all one particular online retailer) I'd avoid them and try a different method. I've thankfully not had nearly as many QC issues. Of course I've not purchased any of those except Scorponok. The only flaw was my own user error, but thankfully it was remedied before any serious issue was caused.

I still enjoy Henkei Inferno as my Neo G1 figure but I did part ways with United Grapple. I got to messing with Earthrise Grapple and what a figure indeed! I was able to get Rung and they match up quite nicely IMO...'nuff said!

The more I've looked at these the more I like them... I would've been fine with clear, but at the same time, I think there's a chance it would've made the chest cavity almost too empty, and then that could've looked weird/bad.
If anything, I would've liked seeing them in a color closer to yellow... Not pale yellow, but a lighter yellow-orange.
But overall I think these figures look incredibly good.

When does anyone think we'll get official word on Thrust? And what will his release date be (roughly)?

I'm personally hoping for a running change to the smoke-tint cockpits. I prefer those for the coneheads (plus they're more accurate), and the canopies are clear plastic so it's not something I can properly change myself. I suggest everyone irked by the orange cockpits write in.

It's definitely an accent color on both... It will be on all 3. The problem I have with the orange is that's just enough (in amount) that it almost takes away from their faces and becomes the focal point... But that's a small problem, and not the end of the world by any means; they still look awesome.

Shame the horns are smaller. nice clear upper chest line compared to the cliffjumpers jagged look. The mold really couldnt pull off a rear spare wheel with out the back pack looking too big so the TR/legends mold still has a few advantages for it. If I has SS yellow bee I probably wouldn't be picking up this one. Doubt I'll be able to get bee at discount like I did cliffjumper though.

This figure is a retool of the Siege Ironhide and features a new shield/roof piece to make him into the earth mode van.
