emlit, may I suggest repurposing G2 "Covert Clone" Sideswipe as Deep Cover? Deep Cover is an eHobby release from the early 2000's, a new, retroactively added G1 character, based on a Diaclone release of what became the Sideswipe mold in black. Deep Cover has blue parts where G2 Sideswipe has red, but the color of the alt mode and the head sculpt are spot on. You could even dare to do a little customization work and make the red parts blue yourself.

And now you know why I want Flashwave’s G2 Sideswipe

Oddly, the fan in me is OK with the repurpose, but not at the expense of existing characters. No unnecessary clones in my collection.

So I should be praising or complaining about the two Amazon sets like everyone else, but unfortunately my box is missing. Amazon and USPS say it was delivered to my front door Saturday, but I've got nothing. I live on a private dead end dirt road so I really doubt anyone picked it up off my porch driving by, I don't think it was delivered at all. I've got my neighbors checking their doors and Amazon claims sometimes the delivery info is false and it may not have been actually been delivered. Whatever the case I hope it turns up on Monday.

And still nothing. Amazon doesn't do anything to help aside from telling you to wait 36 hours and look around your house, they don't offer any actual help like contacting USPS on your behalf. USPS says I have to wait 7 days before requesting a search or offering a refund, even though it wasn't missing in transit and they claim they dropped it off. I've been buying stuff online for nearly 20 years and this is the first time I've had to deal with something like this. It's a crime to keep someone else's package that was delivered to the wrong address, I hope whoever has it is upstanding enough to give it back.

I am still really loving all of these figure. Galaxy Prime is a really cool design, and i love the super robot. It just jives with me!

And I need to customize my smashdowns a bit, to differentiate the 5 different ones. I've named them all, they need to be a bit more distinct.

I got my replacement Alphastrike set today and not only did Raindance have both wings but Slamdance's foot/ankle is ok. I didn't see a screw to adjust tightness however.

That is just the Amazon drivers, USPS does not do the photos. USPS is also the main reason that Amazon has moved toward using their own delivery vans. Too many USPS packages being "delayed" to meet Amazon's 1 or 2 day delivery requirements. I used to always get the "front porch was not accessible" excuse from the USPS when a delivery didn't make it for a specific day, and it pretty much always showed up the next day.

Good Point. My apologies for not ascertaining the details. I thought it was delivered by Amazon directly, not via USPS. Yeah I'm not a fan of our postal service these days. They lost some items I was shipping for an eBay transaction about 3 years ago. The purchaser was fully refunded of course, but I lost about $400 as a result, and my book collection was never found (i.e. someone at USPS got a nice new library of novels). I'll take partial blame for not insuring it (this was a large shipment, and I was making barely any profit. In fact I really didn't want to ship it, I wanted local pick up only because it was so massive), but at the same time, insurance should be an added precaution, not extortion to make sure someone just does their job.

IIRC, Skywarp's Battle-Master partners are supposed to go with another figure. But I'm gonna let him keep them. They differentiate him from Thundercracker and Starscream.

Also, Slamdance. Slamdance has a new, kick-butt figure. I'm tickled by that.

And Fracas goes with Titans Return/Legends Scourge, though his colors are wrong. Why didn't they do a gray torso with black limbs? That would have been closer to accurate, given the gang-molding of the arms and gun barrels (otherwise, the arms should be gray too and just the legs black).

The all new Terror-Daxtyl character doesn't seem to be tied to anyone in particular, so you could use him as Skywarp's defacto Targetmaster, if desired.

As I feared, both of the Alphastrike sets I got have the 91361 batch code that blog post mentions. I’m going to have to be a extra careful with my Slamdance. At least I think I know where to look on the bottom of the foot for possible clearance issues and make sure that’s where I put any extra force to move the transformation joint.

UPDATE:

After taking another look at the Slamdance I opened on Sunday, I noticed a big crack in the plastic of the left leg assembly, not in the ankle pivot, but in the outer part of the leg/tank armor! I don't know if that was there when I first opened the package, or if it happened somehow while transforming Slamdance back and forth once before putting him on display. Luckily, as mentioned above, I had a second set, so I opened it up and did a left leg swap. (By the way, I didn't just swap the figures whole because the paint job on the first one I opened is superior, in my opinion. The left legs were identical except for the obvious breakage in the one). The foot was still tight on the second one I opened, but I was able to coax it free and swivel it back and forth fully several times without putting stress on the ankle pivot.
