Well, I don't mind CW Optimus' bot mode (it beats the pants off Wedgepecs McCabarms, the other CHUG Voyager 1984-esque Optimus at the time I got him) and I don't use the torso mode.-Kanrabat- wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:And I say CW Optimus is closer, while also fixing the vehicle mode scale issue. Scale wise, CW Optimus is perfect for sure. And the vehicle mode is nice enough. But the bot look wonky and the truck torso for the combiner is pretty bad.
But eh, "true" perfection is an impossibility for anything and everything.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
I needed allergy meds with Sudafed so I hit up Walmart's pharmacy then I headed to the toy aisle and picked up these three. They also had Hound but I'm not sure if I want another Hound. Might end up getting him just for the Teletraan-1 piece down the road. I didn't want to be that guy who came in and grabbed all the figures.LinaNui wrote:Skritz wrote:Only Netflix figure I really want is Hotlink to add to the Seekers range.
I highly recommend the Megatron set, Mirage, and Scrapface. They all have great decos and the last two are basically new characters.
I was today years old when I learned I want a titan class cruise ship Transformer.-Kanrabat- wrote:

Every single figures that ever existed and ever will, will be flawed one way or another.
For Optimus, general consensus is that the Earthrise Leader is like a budget Masterpiece because he's so amazing. Even if the trailer is a bit barebone.
Proof is he's been sold out everywhere at full price and is impossible to order online without a markup. Also, I've yet to find a single negative video review.
If Siege Megs is a "good enough" toy, so is Siege Optimus. But ER Optimus is pretty much perfection for correcting the Siege's flaws and adding features.
For me, Siege Megs look perfect in bot mode but the tank is iffy. His main problem is that he's also not too fun to transform because too many things feel "not solid" in hand. Maybe Earthrise Megs will pull a ER Optimus and correct the flaws that the Siege one had and improve the overall feel?

Is the plastic different, the siege one felt really cheap around the legs/ankles

The tolerances on the head were adjusted with the Walmart 35th Anniversary release. The Netflix one is said to have the ankles adjusted for easier posing.

I'd beg to differ on the walmart runs being fixed (not only was mine loose, but the figure was covered in leftover plastic from the factory molds), but that ankle fix does sound interesting

Isn't that the same toy?

Meant to say cell shaded and retail one, my bad.
Both are warming side by side

To be fair, they all are. I can get Bluestreak, Megatron, Optimus or to lesser extent even Soundblaster.
Regular Megatrom got made more - I distinctly remember not being able to get him at one point.

Bluestreaks have warmed here too. Soundblaster was the one that went first and fastest, followed slowly by Optimus. We are now left with the Streaks and Megs.
Kinda annoying too, since both versions of Megatron are holding up new product. It's sad that the new wave of SS has moved in too, but Earthrise voyagers have yet to arrive. I suspect this might also be why the Netflix figures haven't arrived yet either
sol magnus wrote:Yeah, I want that Megatron bad. I think I'm gonna pass on Hotlink.
The funny thing is the same Walmart that has all those 35th figures is the same Walmart I got Starscream and Grapple from. They only ever (that I saw) got the Voyagers - nothing else.

I'm the opposite, compete a seeker selection. I'm hoping for some strange coneheads and a few vanilla ER seekers to finish the collection, or more Siege tetrajets.
Distribution has been wonky, I have not seen more than the battle/micros at the same store yet
At Wal-Mart the Netflix figures, all 3 sizes, have their own spots on the shelf and pegs. They don't get mixed with the Siege and Earthrise stuff, so I doubt having an abundance of Siege has any effect on the Netflix line.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Kinda annoying too, since both versions of Megatron are holding up new product.
