anybody is planning to completely take apart siege weaponizer cog, sixgun, and brunt, and then go crazy with their parts and creates new, bigger robot? i know it makes absolute zero sense canon-wise, but it just sounds really fun to do.

Hey maybe I missed hearing about it... but do these still come with collector cards? I really like those, and would loved they're still a thing.

They don't come with cards but there are sort of tech specs for the weapons in the instructions

Please tell me the instructions aren't the same ridiculous black background barely visible red and purple with bouts of white that were barely legible from the previous couple of lines.

Boy, they really wanted this line out in time for Black Friday O.O And nice to see that the boxes are actually fairly space-efficient!

Nice comparisons Seibertron, for the most part. I have some questions:
1. How long are WFC Cog's Gasket and Grommet components?
2. Where's Universe Deluxe Hound?

Seiberton, since you've done those Battle Master comparison pics, do you have a preference between the Takara Legends take on the G1 Targetmasters or the newer Siege renditions of the same characters?

I prefer the Takara Legends take on the G1 Targetmasters.

*shrug* No matter which you go with, they get Firebolt's gun mode wrong (as seen here). So in a warped way the Hasbro version is better - it's still a mistake but at least it doesn't cost you as much.

Even when you add all those guns and stuff, Sideswipe still looks boring as heck.

Would adding the sticker detail present on the G1 toy help, or do you find that one boring too?

Who to pick for voyager?? That's an easy choice : Ironhide! There's so many bots to fill in the deluxe and Ironhide got to be voyager class. Only Hasbro finds it hard to decided.

Thats a terrible choice since it doesnt match the height chart at all. Ironhide cant be as big as Optimus or Megatron. Looks like Hasbro is being pretty smart with this line and making Ironhide a deluxe (so the right size and at a cheaper price point) but bigger than other deluxes like Hound.



In the end, we see what the deal was with the autobtos vs decepticons.The autobots had the numbers, but the Decepticons were bigger and had more firepower (plus flight).

Yeah, its pretty cool. I dont mind this way of doing things at all. We learn of all the figures we have to look forward to next year and then one year later same thing. And its always for a different subline.
The only thing I wished was that it we also had the same type and build of figures for the animated show currently on air. But I guess it now continues the Armada tradition that toys based on shows are more for kids and thus we should inhibit articulation/complexity/proportions for an action gimmick and ignore the technological advancements of the past.

I plan to make a ramp extension for Fort Max that has the elevator. I'd like to get an early start, but to do that I need to know how long and how wide Cog's Gasket and Grommet components are so that I can make he elevator platform the right size.

Why didn't he do the Bot size comparison's of the Classics and Sieges the way he did the OP's in truck mode? I still can't tell which are taller. It feels like these reviewers are hiding it with these crouched down poses.

Hmm. This makes it look like there's more of a height difference than I'd first thought, at least 5mm. Seibertron's photos make it look like 1.5mm tops. I wish Seibertron had done a comparison with Combiner Wars Optimus... can anyone please oblige me there?

I've got a question for Seibertron, or anyone who has both Siege Sideswipe and Masterpiece Sideswipe. I've noticed in reviews that Siege Sideswipe uses a rectangular peg and hole to mount his shoulder cannon in robot mode. Are the peg and hole compatible with the same ones on the Masterpiece figure? In other words, can you actually use the Masterpiece cannon on Siege Sideswipe's shoulder, if you were so inclined?

No they are not compatible. Masterpiece Sideswipe has a square peg and Siege Sideswipe has a "flat" peg that is thin.

I'm not a fan of the G1 size charts. Optimus Prime is always bigger in those charts than I think he is in the actual cartoon. Most of the Autobot cars only come up to his waist, which is a little silly.

That's a terrible assumption as someone has already pointed out earlier that through the image calculation that Ironhide does appear to be the same height as Sideswipe.

Hasbro has been known to be G1 toy accurate and of poor QC, while Takara is Cartoon accurate and of better QC. But with this line, Hasbro seems to have redeemed itself. The actual figures of Sideswipe, Hound, Cog, OP and Meg all look superb. My collections only consists of Takara's, while Hasbro's are thrown to my son or into bin. With no diff in Takara version, thought that's the end. But luckily Hasbro has other ideas. Really looking forward to this and future lines. Good job

The QC issue between Hasbro and Takara has been debunked and refuted countless times. It's in the imagination of fans and is not fact.
