Where was this confirmed?

You can very clearly see a gap where the panel flips around between the 2 faction symbols. That and hasbro already said this line has no stickers last toy fair.

They never said that. They said they heard the complaints towards stickers. That doesnt mean we have seen an end to them.

My point about the very noticeable gap still stands.

You talking about the grooves and greeble this entire line is known for having?

I'm with you on this. I gritted my teeth and shelled out the money for the leaders, but I got my employee's discount which knocked the price down some, and to me the figures ended up being worth it, but as good as Jetfire looks, I don't know if I can justify kicking out 80 bones for him, especially since I don't care about the extra stuff he has, I just want the figure itself.

I don't see why not. It would be a straight simple repaint, they wouldn't even need to repaint the effect part. It would be dumb on their part not to. But even if they don't, Magnus wouldn't look bad with a red hammer.

Too bad they didn't actually have real bots for all of them except SoundBlaster. Haven't picked up the "regular" Siege Optimus and Megatron yet … would have liked to have seen these as a comparison to tell if I should wait for them to come out.

Any word on if they will be general release or exclusives?

A bit late to reply but is that Springer misstransformed in car mode? Because it's just the copter without the rotors. If it's really it, the previous Generations figure did a way better job.

It’s not been officially stated, but in the one of the closeup pictures of Omega, you can see some indents near the bottom of the helmet, that make it look like it might be able to lift up.

I may wait to pick up Soundwave till after we see Soundblaster. What are the odds they maybe include a redeco of Laserbeak as Buzzsaw or maybe a new mold for Ratbat?

Hey, I resemble that statement. I hope it's not motorized so I can crawl around like a preschooler on the floor and enjoy playing with my expensive toy.

The original hung over the track as well. My guess is little underside wells like other tankformers have so it can be pushed. CHOO-CHOO!

The back half of the tail moves forward to make the rear of the car, the front sides stick out further forward and the wings fold under. Not all that different from the G1 figure aside from all of his weapons being turned into some sort of canon.

Apparently the 35th Anniversary stuff was removed from the display before media got in so details are pretty scarce.

General or exclusive, but i doubt its going to be on General release, i mean many of those fans were annoyed by the so called "Battle Damage" Paint, and the most interesting part that the Cell Shaded is equal of that to the one from Transformers Devastation:

I'm well aware of how good and beloved T30 Springer is, I'm just pointing out that people seem to be missing 'the point' on Siege Springer: this is cartoon/comics/toy Springer, while T30 Springer was IDW Wrecker series Springer. Siege Springer was never even intended to 'improve' upon that design anyway.

Well spoken, Skritz. As a fan that's been on board since G1, there's a HUGE difference to me between something looking like the G1 toys and cartoon characters I grew up with... and the (often awesome) modern IDW comic interpretations. Often they are like different characters entirely in design... and personality.

That's because they are. IDW diverged so much from the core Generation 1 stuff that I personally hold it to be its own universe and continuity entirely (because it is!). However I don't run the Transformers wiki, so for now the IDW version of these characters remain a sub-incarnation of their original G1 selves. Which itself, confusingly, can be several incarnations. :HEADHURTS:

At this point we should probably just drop calling them the G1 version and call them the Sunbow/Marvel/IDW incarnations and treat them as distinct.

Well the separation has actually been around for a lot longer. There has always been divergent paths from the original series, as to whether fans interpreted a toy to be based on the personality of the Original animated series, or the Marvel Comic. Dreamwave's own original series universe, and IDW's only added to the *splintering* of things.

It's often why when fans complain that there is *too much* homaging to the original series, I understand, but do not sympathize, because unless something purposefully homages the original animated series (my preferred continuity), then the *overuse* complaint is lost on me.

For what it's worth, I hold a clear distinction between 'G1 inspired' and 'G1 derived/remaking'. The former include the likes of Armada, Cyberverse and the Aligned continuity while the latter is Dreamwave, IDW and the Machinima shows. Hope this distinction is clear and make sense. The first draws inspiration from but never intend to remake the original story and characters while the latter tries to be a remake/sequel/whatever which might eventually diverge drastically.

Some really good points by the both of you. It all makes me really grateful to see Siege coming. There is a consistency we haven't seen in a long time. Seems like so many of the classics bots would homage the cartoon (Hound), be a fresh modern version (Mirage, Sandstorm), or homage IDW (Magnus, Springer). I've loved all those toys, but they don't necessarily all match on a shelf. I think a lot of us have been left wanting a spot-on G1 version of a lot of characters. Glad we are finally getting some to fill those spots.

And on the thought of the comics, it's cool to see some of those rare characters get nods. There was some amazing characterization (and art) through the years. I have a real fondness for that stuff, especially thinking of the Geoff Senior and UK comics. Bring on the Impactor!
