Personally as long as it's CHUG-ey enough I'm good. My collection is still growing since I started off during Titans Return after a long absence from toy collecting.

Me too and that's why I sold my T30 Springer.
I may be tempted by the Siege Springer, but only on clearance.

Personally I've justified buying Springer by placing my Thrilling 30 Springer on my Wreckers/anyone else who doesn't really fit on my other Generations shelves shelf.

You know, you don’t have to justify why you want/will buy Siege Springer. If you like it you like it. Why should it matter you already have another Springer? It’s no one’s business but your own.

Personally I'll just get Siege Springer because its going to be easier than hunting down one of the most beloved figure of T30, one which the fanbase absolutely adore and that no one would sell unless they need the cash or to make room.

T30 Sandstorm I might hunt down someday just because I still really want that mold and these two looking completely different would be quite neat visually. Unless we get a WFC trilogy Sandstorm somehow.

I'm getti g Siege Springer because it looks like fun. That, and I am hoping the head stays on better when you transform it. (I never can get my T30 Springer's noggin out of the way of the chest nosecone, not sure whT I am doung wrong there, but the clearence is nil.

As to which one is taking the primary spot on my shelf, time will tell. I dont like how (accurately) small the cockpit is on Siege Springer, but I do like the vehicle modes. The car mode moreso than the T30, even though the latter is actually more car like. I suspect Siege Springer will look better with TR Broadside, Top Spin, and Twin Twist, but lesser so with T30 Sandstorm, Generatiins Whirl, and Roadbuster. But even if he doesnt overtake the Wreckers spot, I'm doubting I will be dissappointed in Siege, and I may play with him more if he's NOT in with a lsrge grouo like that.

OK, to catch up on the reveals:

I love the axe weapon with Red Alert, that is awesome.

Impactor and Mirage didn't really look any better in person, which is disappointing Impactor wise.

Springer, eh, he looks his part, but I will gladly stick with my T30 one.

Thundercracker looks good. He'll be the only retail voyager of the line I get, and one of 2 voyagers I'll get total along with G2 Megatron.

Leader Prime looks really good! Super excited to have him in the line! He'll look really nice with my other bots.

Jetfire is still eh, and a pass, like Springer. Thrilling 30 well and truly won both for me.

Omega looks great! Much more impressive than Predaking was

I must be the only person who prefers siege Springer. T30 is too lanky and neither alt mode really looks that good. The stupid shape of The chest piece really ruins both modes. The car looks fine I guess but none of the panels really line up that well, and the helicopter has always looked weak to me. Sandstorm wears the mold do much better. I already sold my Springer in anticipation of this one.

To me, the most well known Springer (Nick Roche's Springer) uses that design, the posing is there, and his alt modes have some actual transformation between them. He looks really good and he looks like a jock, which is how I picture Springer. He is one of the best figures we have ever gotten.

Also forgot to mention Smashdown. That is a really sweet looking Battlemaster!

To me Springer is a warrior not a jock so he should be bulky not lanky. There really isn't that much transformation between alt modes in the T30 one. You move the shoulders, crumple the arms and straighten the legs then you're done. It's no different than this new one. As for poseability, the siege one has all the articulation the old one has plus waist and ankles. T30 is a good figure but I think he's incredibly over rated.

I like both equally. Love the robot modes for both, car modes are good, but helicopters are a little iffy. But, at the end of the day I'll probably pick up Siege's Springer for a Cybertronian form and use T30's as an Earth form Springer.

I do have one complaint about Siege in general though: It's very hit or miss. Like, most figures they knock out of the park. Prime, Hound, and Magnus are all great figures, but some feel a little off target such as Prowl's legs and too smooth/flat alt mode, Soundwave's "Space Barge" or Impactor's legs being too hollow in spots or his head sculpt being a bit off in my opinion.

Most of the figures are incredible works of G1 passion however and while I don't exactly enjoy G1 like most fans, Siege has definitely grown on me with use of altmodes that look retro-futuristic enough that they could be Cybertronian

neither has a very involved transformation, but the new Siege one looks far more simple and boxy, and I'm not a fan of that cartoon aesthetic he ends up with. And the Siege one has about 4 moving parts between chopper and car.

I don't think he looks bad, and I am all for you guys enjoying this new one though. He seems pretty solid

It's really neat that all of these figures featured at the show are up for preorder now, even if they won't be available until the third quarter of the year. However, where are the preorders for Reflector/Refraktor and Brunt? They should be coming out well before Mirage or Impactor, originally slated to be part of Red Alert's Deluxe Class Wave, but they are no where to be seen as far as online ordering goes. What gives?

Also, there is a suspicious lack of Micromasters on the horizon. We have no idea what is coming beyond Wave 2 with the Rescue Patrol and the Soundwave Spy Patrol. There have to be more Micromasters coming (besides Countdown with Omega Supreme). Why leave them out of this reveal? We got something for every other price point. They can't be that exciting that Hasbro would hold them back for later or that unimportant that Hasbro would just forget about them altogether for Toyfair.

What would be cool is if they move on to the paired/combining micromasters. Like the moon buggy/space shuttle/tanker truck

Alternatively micro masters with the vehicle play sets would be cool. Maybe I’m mid remembering. But didn’t the hot rod patrol get mentioned? Or am I confused with street patrol?

I forgot to mention this when I posted earlier, but it looks like Red Alert will NOT come with his classic shoulder cannon like Sideswipe did in Wave 1. That's a bummer.

While I admit the mystery character is intriguing, it's good to see Reflector has 6 per case (unless I'm reading this wrong which is a distinct possibility  )
