The only way I'd really get the Classics voyager would be if I somehow got a hold of the Shattered Glass voyager. That would be the one exception to the rule

I've resigned myself to the fact that SG Prime will always be my white whale.

But, getting back on topic, how's everyone's experience with Prowl for those who bought him? I've got one on Pre-order but he's not due in the UK till April, and I was curious as to all you folks' thoughts.

I'd love if they did a Selects release of SG Prime from the Siege mold. It'd be a nice little use for a mold that probably doesn't have much of a future

I predict this will end up being one of the most redecoed molds of all time (like top 10).

I'm super ok with that, this figure is easily top 10 of the year already, it's so good, heck, they could even play around with remolding the plates that form the face of the truck, it'd be so easy; but I would buy a sg redeco, and definitely a nemesis version ;)^

I'm all on board for a Nemesis Prime in the style of the POTP Nemesis Prime.

I'm tellin' ya, that line set a precedent, nemesis prime now needs a spiked mohawk and nemesis rodimus needs a ridiculous 'stache, they are their own biker gang 8-)

So, at what point do you guys expect Tonton or whoever will have their review of Jetfire and Omega Supreme up? Part of me is betting April, but I feel like even with the stealing of product that might be early

I'm really considering pre-ordering Omega Supreme. He looks amazing. I just wonder if they do an SDCC version what they will leave off of the retail version, like Fort Max's sword or Metro's other gun. Also, I wonder what the distribution will be for Omega. Will it end up like Metro where I couldn't find him anywhere in my area, or like Trypticon where it is discounted and available even now.

Depends where you live, I don't think any big box store in the US is gonna sell him in stores, they might not even bother selling him online, they didn't with predaking, best bet will likely be e-tailers like bbts and amazon who will likely have a bunch as I think they're slow sellers. Outside of the US, dunno, would depend on which local stores have carried the titan class figure before >:oP

I'm in Arizona. I'm going to be bummed if they don't have him at retail. I love walking into a store with my son and walking out with a huge beautiful box. The art on Omega Supreme looks really nice. My Walmart has ZERO (this is literal, not figurative) Transformers on its shelves so I have no hope for Titans there, and I don't think I've ever seen a Titan at Target in my area.

What was disappointing was something that is either a design flaw or quality control issue. The pegs that are meant to be held in gun mode don't do their job at all, and they end up flopping around all over the place unless the gun is held straight down or completely horizontal. I'm not in full on buyers remorse mode, but I don't imagine I'll be getting any more.

That's the downside to ball joints sadly. Mine hold up fine, but they are usually in weapon mode, save for Lionizer, so they don't hold their weapons often.

Shame you are out of the Battlemasters too, considering we have the epic SMASHDOWN coming!

Sorry, I think I was unclear. I meant to say the handle of their gun mode is like, slippery? Like there's no friction when the gun mode is held so it can basically spin around freely unless in a position where gravity has little effect.

Ah, ok, I see now. Mine still don't have that issue, so it might be a bad copy in your case.

But don't let that stop you from trying some others out. Smashdown looks to be great, and they're only small pocket money guys, so it doesn't hurt to try them out, especially with the cool blast effects

The handles on Firedrive and Lionizer I bought yesterday are fine. Well, I don't have any Siege deluxes or voyagers or such to test them on but I plugged them both in the hands of Studio Series Stinger, Lockdown and SS32 Optimus and they fit perfectly. Their joints are fine too. I just don't really care for the figures themselves. Again was more interested in the blast effects but they seem kinda crappy too.. These particular ones anyways.
DSC_1012.jpg

And regarding Siege Vs Classics Optimus Prime... I still have the Classics one and I still far prefer it's more 'real' and logical earth truck mode over that attempt at a 'cybertronian' truck of the Siege figure that looks suspiciously enough like a blocky earth truck. They're both got some annoying arm kibble too. Other than that they're pretty similar in general robot appearance (both being G1 Prime obviously, with the Siege bot looking more like the original toon bot). Not really feeling like it's been over a decade between the two figures.

That's because the only brick and mortar store that stocked the titan class figures normally was TRU, last year, no store in the US carried predaking - that we know of; so I don't really have much hope for any carrying omega this year.

As much as I absolutely love the Siege Prime mold and await the many many many many many redecos that will inevitably come from it, I do hope they first release an "Earth" version that's basically the same thing, but with the truck face backpack (and arm kibble) changed to represent a more Earth-ish truck, and possibly slimmed down horizontally to be more like MP-10's hump than the full-on backpack it has now (which might be fairly possible since it wouldn't necessarily have to cover up the entire roof like the current version does to make it look slightly more """Cybertronian-y""", just the gappy middle of it), so all the redecos are based on that and not the current version. Although the inevitable Nemesis Prime's vehicle mode would look cool with the current version's excessive translucent bits in translucent red...
G2/Action Master/obscure variant-inspired redecos and retools are my lifeblood

Hasbro is still pretty shaken up over the loss of TRU and not particularly satisfied with how retailers distributed their products last year going by their most recent financial and investor reports so I suspect we'll see them trying to extend their reach a little more. We know they're building a presence with Gamestop so that would be a great place to get Omega Supreme on a shelf. And last year we started seeing some Cyberverse figures show up in Best Buy, another store that's trying to rebrand itself and already sells a lot of big ticket items, how good would Omega Supreme look in their collectibles section? I don't know if we'll actually see this happen, but I would be surprised if Hasbro isn't trying to make it happen.

Big, expensive toys take up a lot of shelf space and don't sell quickly. That's not the most obvious fit for mall stores where space is limited. On the other hand, GameStop has tried to diversify with statues and other expensive collectibles, so it's not impossible to imagine.

That said, given GameStop's business position, I don't think it's a very smart move to replace a bankrupt retailer with a struggling one.

I agree, but for whatever reason that's the horse Hasbro is backing right now. They've given them the Ectotron exclusive and in Canada they've become their default store for exclusives to stores that don't exist in Canada.

I just got my hands on Ironhide and Sixgun, and they're both great. The right leg panel on Ironhide doesn't like to stay tabbed in bot mode, like someone already said (I think it was Ironhidensh?), but otherwise I have no issues to report. I kinda wish Sixgun had wrist articulation, but Cog didn't have it either, so I guess it makes sense. Plus, the two make an awesome combo:

Also, for anyone who's curious, Ironhide's code is TRITHYLLIUM, and Sixgun's is METROPLEX (no surprise there).

So Chromia is fun-er in person. Definitely an improvement over the Combiner Wars/PotP mold. May have to dig out her T30 to compare that.

I'd be plenty satisfied with a Nemesis Prime version, but any repaint of thus awesome mold would be hella awesome :x

I'm liking the way those fire blast effects from Firedrive look on Chromia's back thrusters in alt mode. Have you tried experimenting with her transformation yet to find a suitable "big gun" mode for a combiner like Elita Infin1te/Orthia to hold?
