I plan to buy the large Dragon Assault Beast Hunters Prime when it hits the clearance, but I hate the missile launching ring thingee on his back. It's a huge, heavy eyesore that ruins the figure imo. I plan to remove it the moment it clears the package. Are there any good tutorials that show how best to remove it without damaging the toy? I want the option of being able to put it back on if necessary.
Thanks in advance! :D

What's the best way to remove a broken off peg from a peg hole on a commander class toy? The Toy in question is the TFP Ironhide, one of the pegs of his cannons broke off in his for arm.

My suggestion? Use a Tamiya Handy Drill and basically "disintegrate" the peg by drilling into it in various places, and then try to dig out the pieces. The reason I specifically said Tamiya's Handy Drill is because it's designed specifically for drilling into plastic. The rotation of the bit is relatively slow and thus won't melt the surrounding plastic, and the small size and weight of the drill makes it much easier to maneuver during precision jobs, compared to the much larger and heavier Dremmel rotary tools or power drills.

Even with the handy drill, it's still a risky job, so if you choose to go ahead with it, be VERY careful and try to gauge how deep the port is by measuring the depth of the port on the other forearm.

Just my two cents' worth.

I've got a Cybertron Primus who's got a fault with one of the springs in his shoulder pads which stops the pad from moving all the way up. Anyone know of a way to fix it?

1) Acquire a toothpick.
2) place toothpick end on one side of the 5mm port that serves as OP's hand
3) PUSH WITH ALL YOUR MORTAL MIGHT
4) If that doesn't work try with a hammer and a small nail. Be gentle when doing this.
5) Profit!

Okay, I know this has been discussed many times, but I need a reminder. How do you fix a loose ball and socket joint where the piece keeps falling out? I seem to remember some saying use nail polish remover but I want to be sure.

I have an Energon superclass Optimus whose leg has gone limp, he can't even hold himself up in supermode anymore. How can I fix it? I tried taking the waist apart but the battery compartment is in the way.

Nail polish or super glue. The idea is to create more mass on the ball joint so it fits tightly around the socket.

Hey all,
Quick question. I have a Hasbro MP Soundwave with a semi-loose left arm. I tried to look for a screw to tighten but could not find one. I think I could fit a small scrap of paper to tighten the shoulder joint.
What would you all do?
Thanks!

Hey guys, New to this so not sure if im asking the questions in the right place.
I started collecting transformers again and I have seen a g1 prowl I like the look of but it appears to be damaged and I was wondering if it is a easy fix.
Here is a photo of the item I am looking at buying and I was wondering if I were to glue the roof section back would it hold?

Hey guys, I just got an AOE Hound voyager class figure today and the pin joints in his shoulders can't bear the weight of his weapons. They just slowly fall down. What's the best way to tighten a pin joint that won't deface the figure?

Personally, I don't understand how the DELUXE AOE Bumblebee can have ratchets in his freakin elbows, yet a more expensive figure like this is relying on the crappiest joints possible to support his arms. :BANG_HEAD:

Hello!

I have a ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime, and I have a problem...
I bought it 2 weeks ago, from a Ebay seller. He arrived in VERY good state, really, like new.
But the battery "leaked" (I don't know if happened in the shipping process, or before...), and, because of this, the eletronic and sounds do not work at all... the metals parts (like the "battery springs") was arrive rust and very dirty.

I opened the battery place, clear all up, but do not work...

What can I do?
I tried to open Optimus chest, to try clear inside the eletronic parts, so the sound and lights work again... but is almost impossible! He have 4 screws in the right side of the chest; three I can get out, but one is located below the "axilla", and that piece is impossible to remove (I think!) to reach this last screw...

Can you help me?

Cobalt, pin joints are a pain in the ass, and one that I have limited experience in. However, I've heard that some Pledge brand floor polish and some Future Shine might be a good way to tighten that up, if you can get it between the pin and the plastic.BUT! As I said, I HEARD this may work. I've never tried it myself. So I can't verify, but hopefully it'll give you something to research.

Dash, is it possible that you might be able to slice open the section on your OP, and then glue it back together when you're done?
Back at it again!

Thanks, Nemesis, I'll give that a try! Hopefully it'll soak down into the joint. There's nothing like being excited about finding a figure only to get it home and having that "aww sh*t" moment when you find out it has obnoxious QC issues.

Nemesis Maximo, is possible, but I'm afraid that the piece never be the same again.

To show, I did attach one image. The piece that I need pull off is the number 1. And have a pin (number 2) that I can't pull off... :-(

Hello, Seibertron. I recently reacquired one of my top three favorite figures, Beast Machines Jetstorm (Ultra Class) from eBay. I already knew about his issues with the chrome paint, and the one I got had very minimal damage, however the seller had listed that everything else was fine and working. However, when I went to test him, his electronics would not turn on and upon opening his battery compartment, I found a huge glob of acid leak all over the contact panel. I already got as much of the battery acid off as I could, however the contact areas are damaged beyond repair. He might also need a complete electronics rewiring, I'm not entirely sure I was wondering, is there a site/shop that I could mail him in to to get the chrome repainted and the electronics repaired? i love this toy to death and I hate seeing it so beat up. Pictures below.

Hey everyone, so I have a Reveal the Shield Bumblebee figure and, in a failed repair attempt, the right arm snapped off, leaving the ball of the ball joint stuck in the socket, and it is glued into place. I've tried numerous glue removal methods, which have worked to a degree, but I believe that the problem is that the removal methods cannot get to the narrow space between the inside of the socket and the broken-off ball joint that has been glued into place, I could really use some help if anyone has any ideas. Thanks!
