Just to piggy-back and revive your original question so hopefully we both get a response...

I recently had the good fortune to be able to get a complete God Neptune for an affordable price (@ $50)...minus his sword. Since that piece is nonexistent on e-bay, I had a brainstorm--get a hold of a more common Piranacon sword and paint it to match God Neptune. Like Pasta's question above--what types of paint and what process is best for this type of job? I've not kitbashed or repainted a thing in my life, so type slowly.... :HEADHURTS: . Maybe this will be what gets me into that sort of thing.

Thanks in advance!

Model Paint is usually the cheapest and easiest way to repaint but its very hard to get a smooth even finish. There is an awesome spraypaint made by Krylon called "fusion". This stuff bonds directly to plastic and looks totally radical! Its very easy to use as all you have to do is take apart the parts (or tape them off if need be) and just spray piant 'em. Its relatively expensive ($8.00 cdn/ can)and I don't know if they sell it in the USA but if you can find it, it is the ultimate plastic paint.

I also recently got God Neptune but mine has the sword. That might be a tough one (I have no experience repainting figures) becuase the sword for GN is a goldish color, almost like the GPS goldish color, so the paint might be hard to match (again, no experience). But I'm sure it can be done.

My question is about loose cockpit/chest sections on G1 seekers. Is there a way to tighten the joint that allows them to fold into place? My guess is there's a screw in the shoulder area where the intake vents are located. Haven't looked at it too much, just curious if anyone had a solution I could steal.

I recently bought a couple of sets of Micromaster Combiners and they are in excellent condition with the exception of rust on the pins on the wheels. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove the rust without damaging the figures in any way? :-?

Is there any way to fix G1 headmasters if the head pops out? Like when you push in the head and then the body rejects it? I'm having this problem with my Skorpanok.

I signed up AGES ago, and left for a while. When I came back recently (Nov. or Dec.), I signed up for an account under the user name Kenn Beck. THAT account is gone. I found one of my ancient accounts and changed the user name to Kenn Beck, thinking the new account was lost forever. If it's possible to get my transformers back again, it'd be great. I don't remember what the name of the team was, but I know that my transformers were named Memorex, Ares, Holopoint, Marathon... and I had three others, but I can't remember their names. I fit's possible to get thesse guys back up and running, please let me know.

Thanks...

I believe they took the spring out that allows the launcher to shoot. Its what they did to all their reissues.

Take the socket off of the ball and put silicone or super glue on the ball. After it dries, reattach the socket and it will be as good as new. :)

I would use Krylon Fusion or Kustom Kolors Black base. It's funny I was planning on doing that too. :-?

Question about the Lord Zarak figure (Scorponok's Headmaster)

Postby Seibertron » Fri Mar 02, 2007 11:35 am

Motto: "'Til All Are One!"

For years, my Lord Zarak head won't truly connect to the body of Scorponok. The spring inside the body simply pushes the head back out. Fortunately, the helmet keeps the head in an half-in and half-out out position. So I've always just kind of dealt with it. I figured it was something wrong with the body. It occurred to me late last night that I've never tried to put Zarak on another Headmaster's body or vice versa. Much to my surprise, the same problem happened when I connected Zarak to Cerebros's body. Spike connected just fine to the body of Scorponok. I thought it was going to be something wrong with the body of Scorponok, not with Lord Zarak. Nothing looks broken or worn on him. I swear Zarak used to work at one point when I was a kid. Does anyone else have this problem with Zarak and Scorponok? Maybe I just need a new Zarak.

I don't thik its just yours Ryan, mine has the same problem and I thought that I'd just got a dodgy one, i have to almost wedge my Zarak head down with the helmet and then every couple of days push it back in.

I think the main problem lies with Zarak's Headmaster reader on the left as you look at him. Mine seems to be too big(wide) so he pops out all the time and doen't engage the clip like all my other Headmasters.

You can try to get another Zarak but Prices for him seem to be going up and up.
