When I was little my Uncle got my brother and I these two Japanese robot toys. This was the early 80's. I don't know what they were called or what line they were from. I remember that their fists and heads could shoot off and at least one had a panel that opened on it's chest so you could see machinery parts molded inside. They were probably about 6 inches tall. I remember that the head that could shoot off of mine was red. I've seen pictures Shogun Warriors and it wasn't them. It's been driving me crazy because I have very little information on them. They didn't transform. They didn't have little pilots. I'm stumped. They were really cool though.

Hate to say it, but that's very little to go by as launching fists were very common in robot toys back then. Launching heads not so much. Any other colors you remember? Unique design elements?

The launching head was red. kind of diamond shaped I think. chest opened up with two panels split in the middle. Like the chest on MP-01. Unfortunately I don't know more. It's one of those "I'll know it when I see it" things.
