There's still some DOTM stock at my local TRU, but my Target just recently had a clearance to get rid of its lingering figures. Of those left, I was surprised to see two Space Case (the retool of TF 2010 Terradive). It's a good mold and a decent cannon fodder Decepticon compared to the very crappy lineup of deluxe cons (since we never got Soundwave and I could never find any Darksteels :-( ). My collection of movie figures is pretty tiny as is, and after the high number of quality RotF 'cons, I was disappointed by the meager offerings.

There were also a few voyager Skyhammers left, which also came as a shock, but less of one because he didn't have a prominent 'Target exclusive' sticker.

Here in Costa Rica you can still find some Animated figures that I think are very good ones. Leader Megatron, Deluxe Blackarachnia, Deluxe Swoop and Deluxe Ratchet. Other toys (that maybe deserve being shelf-warmers) include Deluxe Sentinel Prime, Leader Class Bulkhead and Voyager Atomic Lugnut.

Well...it does have a really derpy robot mode.

I don't own the figure myself, but Isn't the robot mode regarded as one of the most poseable for a deluxe class?

It's an electro-gun or something, not a melee weapon. BTW, what do you mean by unremovable? You actually HAVE to remove it for transformation to bot mode, and it even stores behind the robot's waist.

Personally, the biggest problem I have is with the ugly alt mode. His head is also kind of small, but in bot mode, I think he's awesome.

Just to make sure, are we talking about the same Mirage, as in this one?

Oh... The more you know. Every pictures I saw of classic Mirage was with a hand that was replaced by that horrible thing. Like DOTM Airaid.

Thanks for putting him in the spotlight. I don't know how I missed him. Ended up picking up two at a 5 and below store. Very nice stock Mectech weapon too. Your custom one suits him as well. Again he's wicked to say the least. And I agree he deserves much more...

I think DotM deluxe Sideswipe and Barricade count since they're both still on the pegs after two years. Neither are the most posable figures because of their relatively inflexible knees, but Barricade is especially screen accurate and a big improvement over his '07 mold. Sideswipe is an ugly grey all over, not a drop of silver on him, and he's the least accurate of all the deluxe movie Sideswipes, but I still think he's beautifully sculpted and looks lithe and nimble. They look great on my shelf!

Those Murderbee eyes, they pierce right into my soul...

As for Barricade, while I agree the DotM mold is an improvement over the first one from the 2007 movie, I wouldn't call it 'great'. Ever. For any reason. It's still stiff and clunky and its great honking Mechtech doesn't help.

revenge of the fallen ransack. He was on clearence at bbts for a while and i go him for like $3 haha. I know the robot mode is pretty crappy but the sweet bi plane mode with an old- time decepticon symbol, exposed (and beefy) engine, and excellent fire power is where the figure shines.

besides if it weren't for stupid bumblebee apparently ransack would have put skids and mudflap out of our misery http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Ransack_(ROTF)

he's also a seeker which is cool and makes it ok for his bot mode to look like crap cuz people's people modes look like crap when they get old too.......but i would never display him in bot mode though.....ever....

I love the Classics Mirage, even with the so-so gun. Never regretted buying him.

Agreed on ROTF Ransack, love the Biplane mode and Transformation. His robot mode is not even in the top-10 of worst robot modes for the ROTF line.

I picked up Universe Onslaught on clearance for $11 several years ago at TRU. Would have never bought him otherwise. Love him. Love the mold, size, riot shield and electronic noises.

Toys R Us is having a sale where you get a free DOTM Deluxe when you buy $25 worth of Transformers. Any recommendations besides Bumblebee?

Btw...great topic.

Buh? What's wrong with Ransack's robot mode? I LOVE it! Comapred to G1 Kup, G1 Ironhide, Energon Bulkhead, Cybertron Vector Prime, and Cybertron Brakedown(any other "old guys?) he actually looks like he's an ancient battle worn Transformer.

Ok, granted things do pop off during transformation, but since it's easy to pop back on, it's perfect for the character!

I too hate that figure. Not because he's ugliy, but because of his altmode. It diesn't make sense to me that the fabric and the canvas on a sopwith camel would split apart rather than tear.

And yes, I realize that I ask for "sense" and am talking about giant robots that transform into other things.
Bear with me.

Just google "Dotm Laserbeak backpack," have you really not seen how hilariously awesome Laserbkeak is as a magic mushroom? He can fit on anything with some 5mm pegs on their back. So Dotm Voyagers Optimus, Megatron, and Shockwave all look GREAT with him. HA Sandstorm apparently can too, lol. My only regret is that I couldn't find Fireburst Optimus, but it looks great with the regular voyager too, with two BFGs! :michaelbay:

Since Laserbeak is so posable, it's easy to get him into a variety of positions. So you can have the wings splayed out, have them folded in, have the 'head' of the jet mode facing upwards or down if you don't like the paint apps on it showing, you can have the wings folded away and just use it like a dual-prop helicopter pack, etc. Lots of very good looking options.

I love how much of an 'angel of death' vibe Shockwave gives, haha. I really wish I'd been able to pick him up.

Note about Murderbee, it requires a little bit of modification. Laserbeak's wings have to be removed. The effect is great though. I know that someone posted a pictures of post-op Laserbeak, all wingless and chickeny, pretty funny stuff.

Overquoting to point out that's MY MURDERBEE!
I always find great when someone save my pictures and repost them!

By the way, to make that Murderbee, you have to remove Laserbeak's torso that hold the legs, the head, and the tail. What you are left with is the wing assembly that simply tuck away under Bee's roof backpack in his robot mode. Simple, and highly effective!

If someone want a Murderbee of his own, just mail me an offer. I have a spare Bee and Beak to make another brand new Murderbee.

I like the yellow movie redeco of Cybertron Mudflap. Though I have him as my classics Erector. Why they didn't sell him as that or at least as an Autobot is beyond me.
