Are we absolutely sure we're not getting any kind of Beast combiners in CW? Abominus included? If so, I'll have to suck it up and open my wallet to get these beasts. (Not that I have anything against Unique Toys. I love their stuff. I have Warlord and their fantastic Mania King.)

I don't think ANY of us are sure about that, unless you want to be very technical and say "No, not in Combiner Wars but MAYBE in Titan Wars next year". Not that I'm hinting at any insider news, I just think the banner Combiner Wars will be over after Sky Lynx and Victorion. What happens when the new Blaster and others come out, who knows.

Hasbro's statement on this helped make my decision for UT's Abominus.
Makes sense really. There is a higher degree of difficulty re-using or remolding animals for combiner parts. Like, what CW got away with in terms of mold usage is amazing. If that's the savings bar Hasbro has to meet to make the line, I can't see animals providing the same number of options.
