I just ordered the Prime/ Skyquake deal from Home Bargains. This finally puts my "keep in box or Open up" Skyquake debate to rest.

*Rips open Skyquake box*

Weirdly only when opening it do I feel my PRID collection if finally complete

This also gives me at least one 'Quake up for grabs...

I'm so twitchy over that skyquake deal! My fiance was going to order it last night when we order our new bed, but then we saw the bed was click and collect only. I know that as soon as I get paid it's going to be gone. He's the last I need for my RiD collection too (except for a conscious decision to pass on Shadow Strike Bumblebee). I'm a fair bit excited about it to say the least since it'll be the first line I've ever completed since I decided to start collecting, and actually the first line ever that I've completed.

Once that's put to bed I can focus on Predacons and Kreons.

I think breakdown counts too, seeing as he's one of the most imported figures

I do *really* want that breakdown... The line sort of needs him to balance out the decepticons with more characters that appeared on screen (for more than 1 episode). I'll pick him up probably some months down the line, right now I'm trying to save money for my wedding and the wife-to-be will kill me if I spent too much.

I like the look of shadow strike bee better than the vanilla bee, the yellow plastic they used seems less thin and light-permeable. Plus he's screen accurate for season 3... I'm going to have to pick him up eventually, but I have a moral objection to paying for unnecessary bumblebee redecos. I picked up hotshot because of the head sculpt and ended up loving him though.

They seemed to have actually nailed the right yellow plastic for the beast hunters bee.

EDIT: Kre-O Microchangers Series 2 are sold out again on Tesco Direct Already. That was *fast*

I an't muster any fervour about MP toys. 1) I can't afford em, 2) they represent characters I have little attachment to. If they made a masterpiece Hot Shot, now, I'd be all over dat.
I guess I don't like Soundwave that much, to want to spend £100+ on his perfect toy.

My local sainsbury's finally got BH stuff in, just the wave 2 legions. Sigh.

Se my problem is since I first watched the G1 show soundwave has been by favourite G1/related continuities character, pretty much full stop.
Hence I am seriously considering saving up the money for the MP version...
My only gripe, really, other than the price, is that he doesn't come with a ratbat.

All this talk of Breakdown has made me realise how much I want / need him!

Him and Air Vehicons. I am not convinced that Hasbro are ever going to release a deluxe one so I guess I am going to have to pay up for some Takara...

I have MP Soundwave in hand. It is glorious. I have seriously not geeked out over a toy this much ever. I was a little worried at the price tag (or rather my Mrs' reaction to it - but I smoothed that over by buying her a Lego set of equal value :) )but considering how much the Tak version would set me back, £120 is pretty much a bargain.

The tapes are all really good, the accessories are all spot on. My only quibble is the vane on the back of Buzzsaw's weapon was so tight to move I almost snapped it off and cant get it properly in place for fear of breaking it. But I figure he can stay in cassette mode, cos we all know that Lazerbeak is who Soundwave should be displayed with.

Even the packaging is gorgeous!

I did resist picking up an Acid Storm. It's not that I don't want it. I just don't need it so badly. (and spending £195 on 2 Transformers, who aren't Metroplex or Fort Max - just seemed a little excessive.)

If anyone is trying to decide whether to take the plunge with Soundwave, I seriously cannot recommend him enough.

TFSource has the black Breakdown for $45 on sale right now. Not cheap...but a bargain compared to some places. Heck, half of the price of the blue one from them.

Ended up doing York instead of Ripon today. No sign of Skyquake but I did grab another 9 Vehicons and another Driller to bring me up to the three I wanted between home Bargains and B&M. I've got the orange KO assigned to one of the Drillers as a commander and at the moment 2 Vehicons on the weapon posts on that one and 1 Vehicon each on the other 2. I'm seriously tempted to track down a couple of the purple Takara Vehicons to put on the driver spots on the other 2.

3 Vehicons for Skyquake is still on offer if anyone can grab one locally for me. I'll put the spare red KO on ebay tomorrow if nobody here wants him. £5 posted or trade for a legion Vehicon, give me a shout by lunch time tomorrow on that before he hits the 'bay.

edit- Strike that bit about purple legions. Had another look at the gallery and the one I was thinking of was the Air Vehicon with it's wings folded up funny. D'oh!

So how many Vehicons is that in total now Waaaagh? I need one more Deluxe to make a nice even 10. I could have picked up like 6 the other day at The Entertainer in Bluewater, but I restrained (mostly because of the impending MP Soundwave - did I mention how awesome that figure is?).

picked up FOC Grimlock at TRU yesterday. Didn't open him til just now. He's not bad, but he's definitely not the best. Unless you need to find something in the dark. That's a nice LED. A nice £20 LED wrapped in £5 worth of plastic?

I think the LED is there to try and make his Dino mode less of a throwaway. The LED seems pretty pointless in robot mode.

That said, I enjoy him. He has a pretty commanding presence on the shelf with the rest of his line, despite his flaws. He's a nice display piece. The fiance is pretty taken with him at least.

Grimlocks not the best. The next 2 waves of voyagers are better: Sandstorm and Springer are fantastic. Blitzwing is nice if a little flimsy around the arms.

Im waiting for Blaster myself.

If anyone is still missing a Transformers Prime AM-28 Leo Prime, well he is currently on sale over at Chimungmung.com for $24.90 plus $15 worldwide shipping which doesnt seem too bad!

That would be approx. £26 delivered to the U.K.! ;)

http://chimungmung.com/product_info.php?products_id=945&osCsid=99mi20qp6c5sl4bocd8m7dkgk6

Hes another repaint grouped under the Transformers Prime line yet never featured in the cartoon series, much like...

Swerve
Hotshot
Deadend
Rumble
Frenzy
Sergeant Kup
Thundertron
Wildrider
Ironhide
Skywarp
Thundercracker
Terrorcon Bumblebee

It would have nice for all the above repaints to have cameoed in the two and a half seasons! 8)

MP Soundwave's Lovely box is the only thing making me hesitate in buying MP Bluestreak at the mo. The packaging is almost as nice as the figure!

My Skyquake / Prime 2 combo back turned up yesterday from Home Bargains. I notice it has disappeared from their website now... I'm so pleased I held off on getting him from Ebay, nearly paid £40 for him and now I have 2 and paid less than £30!

Sightings wise, nothing new to report down my way. I'm just waiting for Metroplex to rear his mighty head at Toys R Us, after that I may well be forced to stop buying toys for a while (*in Episode 3 Vader voice* Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!)

Has anyone had any word on whether we are actually getting the other waves of Universe figures over here? At general retail I mean... I have seen wave 1 and 2 of FoC figures but not wave 3. Toys R Us seemed to skip the rest and go straight to the IDW wave with wave 1 FoC voyagers. There are plenty of figures in that range that I want (need!) but I don't want to pay way more than necessary, I already got slightly burnt paying £35 for FoC Voyager Soundwave. I needs me some triple changers!
