Poundland had some KO oversized beast Minicons today.a red t-rex, cheetah, white tiger, blue triceratops and maybe one other. also had official GI Joe bobbleheads, based on the 80s designs. picked up one of each design: Cobra Commander and Duke.

Home Bargains had the DOTMs in. Deluxes £5.99 (Roadbuster, the Mech'd-out Bee, the green surveillance plane -Air Raid?, open-top Sideswipe and Thundercracker were left after I got the one I'd been looking for), Voyagers £11.99 (or 12.99? maybe. They had the Primes and Shockwave) and £24.99 for the leaders (they had Sentinel and Optimus). Finally got myself an Armour Topspin. Glad I didn't go all out and spend £15 or something on him, but he's not bad for the money.

B&M homestores had a similar, but smaller selection of DOTM stuff at what looked like the same prices.

edit: got my order from TFSource yesterday too, and Kapow shipped my Dark Energon Deluxes today. 12 Days of Transformas.

Happened to be in town, so popped into TRU Norwich.

Nothing new, but they do have a very small selection of DotM Deluxes, including Air Raid and Thundercracker, for £7.99. Also spotted a PRiD Voyager Starscream.

The TV and Movie Store has HA basics and bigger figures, too. But quite pricey.

FAO Chris : try some discount stores (B&M etc) for these guys. You'll get the for £12.99 instead of £19.99 in Sainsburys.

2 packages arrived from Kapow Toys today, both sent at the same time. One arrived with every corner bashed in, and in a Royal Mail plastic bag as it was soaked. It contained 4 Dark Energon deluxes, 2 of which were badly soaked. The other box was in perfect shape which contained FoC Starscream.

Im gonna have my finger nails chewed down to the knuckles waiting to see what shape my Stunticon Botcon set turns up looking like, as it's coming from the USA.

That's awful, sorry to hear that!
Royal Mail is being quite the pain recently, over all of Norwich.

Are you planning on complaining?

I've just had some customs trouble with some of my OMFG artist's proofs coming in from the States. No idea why Spanky would mark a $22 order as a $100 value on the declaration. He was very apologetic when a few people had the same issue on the October Toys forums and did throw $20 back my way though which covered most of the extra costs. If the value had been enough that it actually warranted a VAT charge then fair enough (it wasn't), it's the bloody £8 handling fee that get's my hackles up every time.

I'm actually waiting for a Parcel which should come tomorrow or Monday as the guy forgot to send it (ubelievable after 2 weeks?!) so will let you now how it looks.
Have actually worked at Royal Mail previously so if you want to you can complain not sure if they will do anything but its worth a shot.

My Dark Energon Deluxes arrived from Kapow today too...30mins after I left for work. Seeing if I can get them tomorrow at the depot. Hope they're in good condition, sorry to hear about the problems SWG.

Chris, I've used Kapow for some time. I find they're usually pretty good, but have recently been making most of my purchases from TFSource. Despite the latter being US based, the prices after shipping for most things still tend to be less than the pre-postage costs from Kapow. Also, bigger selection and a Pay Later option for pre-orders make it much better for me, for the majority of things. Much nicer browsing experience also.

Kapow are good though. Whenever I've had problems they've been great (a partial refund for a figure with two right hands, and a freebie when something I'd ordered was still showing in stock on the site when it'd been sold out earlier) and their communication is pretty good. Some good bargains occasionally also. I don't really like shopping around all that much, and Kapow being UK based was a big plus for me, but TF Source have a bigger inventory, and as I say, their website is much more user-friendly. I've been alternating recently. Also worth checking out Kapow's ebay site as they usually run auctions on a selection of things and you can save a fair bit off their normal prices, or get stuff that's coming to the end of their stock.

Picked up PRID Hot-Shot and Rumble from John Lewis yesterday, as well as a Lego X-Wing for the heck of it :P nothing else to report.

I was visiting family over the weekend in Coleraine. My cousin had told me about this little book shop that also had a load of vintage toys etc. So when I was visiting we took a wander in to town.
In the window of the shop was an X-Wing and a few other StarWars toys. Inside was loads of StarWars stuff, WWE, really early Action Force and a few other bits and bobs.
Anyway got talking to the guy who owned the shop to find he was a massive Go Bots fan, and it turns out I've a load of stuff he'd be interested in as I've no interest in Go Bots. He didn't have much in the way of Transformers, but what he did have I got for nearly nothing.
Got MicroMaster Air Patrol (Eagle eye, Blaze Master, Sky High and Tread Bolt), all of which are in perfect shape. Not even a scratch on the black plastic wheels. Also got G1 mini bots Windcharger and Gears, both in amazing shape bar a little chrome wear. Paid £10 for the lot.

Now it's really Windcharger and Gears I wanna talk about. The guy said that they are Takara, which I don't dispute as I couldn't find any Hasbro marking at all, just Takara (WC inside the right leg, gears inside the left arm wheel arch). Windcharger has no date, but Gears has 1974 and 1983. They also don't have rub signs which would be correct as well. They do have autobot symbols (silver foil type) which I'm guessing have been added at some point.
I never had these two guys when I was a kid, but I did have most (still do) of the other mini bots but they are all Hasbro.

Sounds about right, the first lot that came over did not have hasbro stamps and were just repackaged Takara toys(many never had rub signs till the second or third wave).

Still pretty good price, you could pay more than that for a Gears or Windcharger in good condition on thier own.

Ive just been playing with the new Data Disks for Soundwave(Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage and Ratbat). They're all nice except ravage who is really rather pants.

I've the Takara Autobot Data-Disks pre-ordered. Will probably get the Con ones, but might just go with the Hasbro releases for those, since it's not long til the MPs.

TRU Norwich has all five (at some point, couldn't see Swindle) of the Combaticons from the Generations/Fall of Cybertron line (retail colours)!
Price £12.99, only seems to be the one case.

Not particularly fussed about these, but nice to see stuff trickling over into the UK.

Good to hear TRU UK are receiving these.
I too will not be buying these distastefully coloured PCC wannabes!
I may pick up the Ruination (?) deco possibly but not to combine! ;)

You know the weird thing about the Combaticons?
The packaging had no language other than English.

Is it possible that TRU is importing its stock directly from the US, rather than waiting for the European multilingual release?

Ive been stuffed by my workplace! :P
Not being paid until Christmas Eve, so Im not even gonna bother with TRU until after Chrimbo!

I keep checking in with the 2 Bedford Argos stores, yet neither of them have had the Vehicon or Hotshot they advertise in their laminated book of dreams, so heck only knows when they plan on getting any new waves?

Guess I will have to head back to B & M Home Store for my TF fix!

Pretty sure Argos have to stock all of them, at least once, or else they're lying about the numbers of different characters available. Of course, I doubt anyone can actually prove that they haven't.

Found the 5 FoC Combaticons in Toys'R'Us, Newtownabbey, Belfast.
They had one complete set of 5 when I left earlier today.

Popped into Bedford town yesterday and found a few Transformers bits at Wilko's (Wilkinsons) on the High Street.

They had Transformers Prime Deluxe figures Bumblebee (of course), Wheeljack, Kup x2, Dead End and Rumble which was good to see. :D
Quite a few DOTM Cyberverse (I think?) including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Topspin, Ironhide and one or two others.

Didnt have much time to look there so cant remember what else they had! ;)

Might check B & M Home Store tomorrow?
