Found a comic with Scorponok while I was up North raiding Home Bargains for cheap Thundercats and Gormiti, just missing Crankstart from the preview wave now and have a lead on getting one from a US member at another forum.

I finally picked up 2 Kreon Galvatrons.
Crankstart was there too, if I had known I would have got him for you.

I would, but I felt a bit bummed out when Thundertron showed up at TRU last month.

I bought him from Kapow for £20something. TRU has him for £16.99.
I think I'll just play the waiting game, also seeing as how I'm only planning on getting BH Shockwave and FoC Grimlock and Starscream.

Currently waiting for Mobine Series Paladin/Chaos too. Should be arriving in March, and that's tomorrow! (So it'll be end of March, obviously.)

Precisely. Which is why I'm not too keen on pre-ordering mainline figures.
Later waves, maybe. I'm afraid that Dreadwing and Skyquake may never make it to the UK.

But as I said, no longer that interested in them, now that I've seen Shockwave!

I've spotted Dreadwing in several different Tescos over the last month or so. Skyquake on the other hand... :(

I keep forgetting about Tesco!
Don't have a big one here, though, so won't be around.

Maybe Asda or Sainsbury's.

In my experience asda and Sainsburys are terrible for toys, i wouldnt hold your breath.

Sainsbury's is often, or at least used to be, very much respectable, and sometimes even got/gets exclusives.
Asda at one point was vaguely alright and now is pants, in my experience.

I picked up voyager Dreadwing at TRU in Leeds just a couple of weeks ago. He was the only one out of quite a few voyagers. I'm looking for the FoC voyagers to start turning up now, TRU had the data disk double packs for Soundwave so surely they'll get in his voyager toy?

Also is anyone going to AA this year? My wife has bought me tickets as an early surprise birthday present and as it's my first one I wondered if anyone had any suggestions of AA must sees / do's!

AA is always uncertain for me, I've realised.

I have three conferences to attend this summer, which eats up pretty much all of my budget.
So if I can make it, it'll have to be a day only, and won't be able to buy much either.

(And that really defies the point of it, really.)

I realise it's off topic for this forum but how much would you be looking to pay at dealer tables? Trying to figure out if I need to remortgage the house before I go...

As long as you mention a sighting of something, Robotmel won't complain about the topic. :D
(We're very loose about keeping on topic here, you'll notice.)

Not having been to AA before, I'm not really sure.
But I've been to other conventions, and especially with London Super Comic Con, I calculated about £100 for the whole weekend, excluding tickets, food and staying overnight.
That did include a fairly overpriced (£25) photograph with Stan Lee, though.

Any AA veterans?

£100 would be pretty reasonable...god forbid they have FOC metroplex or I might have to sell the kids...or a kidney.

Is there an AA forum?

There's a thread on these boards here.

If not, there's the official stuff over at http://www.autoassembly.org.uk/forum/, but it always looks a bit dead to me.

I was checking out auto assembly as well. The website always looks dated and they only have like two sellers announced. Anyway I emailed them abiut stalls seems they get more closer to the time. Includeing big bad toy store. I wont be going this year but will for sure next year. If anyon can give me info on what pricing is like for figures etc and how well stocked it is I terms of imports and unreleased stuff that would be great(in reguards to both aa's of the past and this upcoming one) as id love to go over there and go on a transformers bender lol.

I went to AA way back in either '10 or '11, I actually forget now haha-and sincerely doubt I'll be going this year.
My spending was certainly under a hundred, and most of that was on the second hand stuff rather than imports and the like-which is mostly very good condition, but obviously give it a look over before you buy just in case. Mostly respectable pricing, nothing really ridiculous on either end of the scale. Great experience overall must say. Also, a lot of tables have boxes of various assorted under them. Whilst it might not look much, you'd be surprised at the gems you can find in them, also parts/missiles aplenty at the bottom. But yeah. One of the greatest days, no lie.

If you're only going for figures, then follow ArmadaPrime's suggestions!

Myself, I'm a sucker for the artwork. Most of my money (all of my money) is blown on commissions. Andrew Griffith is going to be there! And Nick, and JP, and Andrew!
So many sketches I could get!

..but I'm not sure I can make it. :(

Maybe if we can get a few people to make it, even for one night, we could organise some kind of TFW2005 meet up one day/evening? It would be good to put faces to the names I see on these boards. A few cold beers and some TF talk perhaps?

I'm starting to really get excited about AA now. If nothing else trying to grab as many TFs as possible that I wouldn't normally get the opportunity to buy is awesome! Do I buy several cheaper toys or blow my wad on an imported MP! :-?

Wrong forum perhaps? I really want to make it again this year, can't really commit until a bit closer to the time. If I'm there I'll be booking the hotel for 3 nights this time. Being stuck with my bag after check out on the Sunday last year was a bit draining.

Wrong boards wrong boards abort abort! :michaelbay:

If I can make it, I'd love to!
There already is a Seibertronian crew, as far as I remember.

EDIT: Nevermind.

I saw Dreadwing in The Entertainer today. Went back an hour later, and he was gone.
TRU was fairly desolate. Waiting for my Generations Voyagers, dammit.
