ABC news has reported that China has approved the development of a $3.3 billion Universal theme park in Beijing. This particular Universal theme park would be the first major foreign-owned theme park in the Chinese capital.
Though the rides included in the theme park have not been confirmed, the current box office results have made it clear that the Transformers brand have a great appeal in China and a Transformers ride akin to the one in Orlando would be an obvious choice for inclusion. The article does state the following:
"
The 1,000-acre Beijing park will include attractions from other Universal parks, rides that reflect China's cultural heritage, a Universal CityWalk entertainment zone and a Universal-themed resort hotel. It will be the third Universal park in Asia, joining others in Singapore and Osaka, Japan."
