Seibertron's own resident voice actor jON3.0 has brought to our attention this audition casting opportunity for talented voice actors. The call comes via Voice123, and they're looking for the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron for Universal Studios Hollywood!

Universal Studios Hollywood is seeking Voice-Over Talent to protray the world famous Transformers, Optimus Prime and Megatron!

Wednesday, April 24th at Staffing Services on City Walk
3:30pm – 8:30pm / Appointments only
Voice-Over Talent
Selected candidates must be available for callbacks on Friday, April 26th.
Voice-Over Talent (April 24th)

Seeking performers with the following abilities and experience:
• Able to switch between two character voices preferred.
• Sustain vocal impersonations for an extended period of time.
• Guest interaction and/or improv experience preferred.
Character/Vocal qualities:
• Megatron vocal qualities – enormous and powerful: deep, textured, smoky quality with adorned gruff-ness.
• Optimus Prime vocal qualities – calm, confident, and serious; air of authority, have impeccable diction, and possess a deep vocabulary.

Prepare
Sides will be provided at the audition. Actors may read for one, or both characters.
For all roles:
•Selected candidates must be available for call-backs on April 26th.
•Please bring a headshot and resume for each audition you attend.
•Availability is a factor when casting. Candidates must be available for training, rehearsals, and summer peak dates as listed on the availability calendar distributed at the audition. Training and Rehearsals begin approximately late April and early May. Performances begin early June through early September.
•Parking – Inform the attendant that you are there for auditions and park in the structure you are guided to. Plan for a 10 minute walk from the parking structure to the audition location.
•We look forward to your audition!

But it's too many many plane-hours away.

I don't see why they can't have Cullen and Welker. Yeah, they pretty much want a reboot so no Cullen. But Welker wasn't Megs in the first 3 so why not him? I would try for this too because I wanna move to SD, but no money to get there.

This is for the Universal Studios theme park, not the film!

And I'm pretty sure it's the walkabouts that were revealed a couple of weeks ago. :-?

Going from the casting description, anyway. (Or maybe The Ride.)

Also if you all remember there is a new Transformers Series incoming in 2014 the reason Prime is ending this year.

Maybe these new Optimus & Megatron VAs could be for that new Animated Series.

I also remember talk about it being called ZERO or something along those lines but for now that is just merely rumors & speculations.

But I bet this is for that new 2014 Transformers series.

Will it be a continuation of Prime, a new Reboot of the Franchise, or something new entirely. I only hope to god it it will not be made goofy like Teen Titans GO.

But still my bet is on the new Transformers 2014 series.

Ok, this is the website for Universal Studios Hollywood.

Not the production company, but the park.
I highly doubt this is for any series or film, except for ones to be used in the park.

And the casting call asks for 'improvisation' and 'audience interaction', plus you have to 'keep up the voice for extended periods of time'. That all sounds like walkabouts to me.

This is for guys who can sound like the characters and wear the costumes all day all summer. I would personally love to try this if I lived in the area but it would keep me from being able to be available for voiceover work.
