Thanks for posting my pics guys!
I have plenty more where that came from and (as much as I hate to say this) a lot of info I'm not really at liberty to share yet. But, with that aside I have my report!
Let's start off where it matters. FansProjectCore
Steel Core. Amazing figure. Will come with a trailer in the future. Saw a sample, looks good. Will get a green and orange repaint/remould. There will one additional detail revealed tomorrow. Can't say just yet, but once you see it you'll think "I knew it!"
Assulter. Huge & bottom heavy. Very easy to stand and pose. NOT THE FINAL COLOR. Might not show Battleship mode right away, but are eager too. Two different faces on the same head, very clever. Detail is amazing. Best part - comes with a "missile tree" of very tiny vehicle modes that go on the deckk of the battle ship. One of Steel Core w/ trailer, Defender in both modes, the green & orange repaint of Steel Core, two very familiar motor cycles, and a very familiar orange dune buggy.
Deluxe Insecticons. So amazing. There is a very good chance there will be a fourth insecticon, but it might be up to fans and it may by a lady bot. Who knows?! All get new heads & weapons. Some get new insect mode parts, like pincers and the like. THEY ARE GETTING BAD ASS VEHICLE MODES. Thunder Shred will be a pill box missile tank, Storm Bomb will be a tank-ish kinda thing, and Back Firey will be a jet of sorts. Will all come with guns.
Stunticons. On hand were robot and vehicle mode test shots of Breakdown & Wildrider. A keen eye can tell who's who. Will be scramble city style to go WITH OTHER UPCOMING G1 COMBINERS. May be a while before we get more mind you. Don't worry wheels will spin, they are just molded solid in the prototypes. Wheels will be split wheels (half solid, half spin). Holes in crotch may play a part in combination. I saw Motormaster pics the night before, looks fantastic. Will be larger then the cars, but also to scale. Gonna be pretty big!
Function x or f(x) - have been in the making for quite a while. Very detailed. Very clever head gimmick. Can't go into details just yet, but you're gonna love it. Chromedome might be first! (YES!) Head robots can ride, drive, or fly vehicle mode. Alligator Prime is a repaint/remold of Skullcruncher. Minerva too... woo hoo.
Lots more coming down the pipe then what was shown. Got a few little peeks here and there, but out of respect for the people showing the pictures I won't be able to go into details just yet. If I get the go ahead tomorrow, you bet your ass I will go DEEP into details!
Maketoys - Fallen was on hand, unpainted combined as the fallen. Two styles of PCC combinations shown with Bombshock and Undertow. Looks really good painted on the PCCs, but I don't know if it will look that great as the Fallen. We'll see. Green Giant on display and for sale. Expect to see many reviews and box sets on eBay! ha ha ha. Nothing else really to mention by them sadly.
BTS - Nova Lord. There version of Overlord. I wasn't thrilled by it. It almost reminds me of Tidal Wave. They originally toyed with the idea of lights and sound but then it would be "too expensive". Hopefully they have learned a lot from their last few really really awful figures. I'm not getting my hopes up. Oh, and it's supposed to be around the same size as Unicron. Pass.
Mastermind Collectibles. HOS Seekers on hand. All of them look amazing. All have different heads and arm cannons. Will be able to "tow behind" on a KM figure on tracks. Kinda cool. Looking really good in hand. Hexatron on hand. Much better then I thought, but also very... fragile looking. Maybe delicate is the word I'm looking for. It looks easy to brake. Mind you, if you want an updated G1 Six Shot he's a damn good candidate. Might be doing a Prima/Nova Prime figure, but we already knew that. Showed there versions of the Predicons - the Ferocicons. Well, blacked out versions. Also showed Blacked out combined mode. Looks okay, but waiting to see better and non-blacked out pics.
A new comer! Mech Ideas. Demolition Crue Apex (Top Spin) & Geminus (Twin Twist). Look really good. Eager to see prototypes. Had holographic iPhone cases. Prime and Soundwave. Very cool.
Head Robots. Nothing really new. Showed the same image of Big Road from months ago.
IGear. Nothing new either.
TFC. Sadly nothing new. I was really hoping to see more from them, but I'm not really surprised either.
Any questions feel free to ask. I'll be more than happy to answer any and all that I can. More pics can be found on mah Facebook page, I won't be uploading them here tonight because I'm eff'n beat.
Slightly related. Hasbro sucked today. Every year for the past ten they roll out new ish' and treat fans like they should be treated. I remember on several occasions getting to play with figures six months before they hit a shelf or real pics of even touched the interwebs. But this year we got a damn kiddie table... it was really pathetic. Just my opinion, but if someone comes into my house that I built and starts to threaten it, then I step up my game. I feel like Hasbro should have at least tried to bring something to the table, not just a few kreons. Hopefully next year they can find their big boy pants and give a little something to the fans once again.
