Got something else! Man, what's up with me and 3P figures lately? I used to never care about them. anyway, got a pair of I-Gear Mini Warriors.

MW-03 Hench and MW-04 UFO.



Those two look amazing and are a blast to fiddle with. I really love the fact that you can give Not-Brawn his G1 toy look. Also, Not-Cosmos look like a bad-ass bruiser with his proportions and that mean face... all undermined by that adorable Silver Age bubble space helmet!

I gave them their labels and I improvised a "belt" with leftover repros on Not-Brawn to give him an even more G1 look.

Like Gear above, this complete the trio of having the G1, TR, and MW versions of these characters.





Overall, I'm very happy with them.

EDIT:

A tiny update. The Autobot label didn't match the others for Not-Brawn so I gave him a thick-bumpy "3D" one. This way, it apply perfectly on this deeply textured chest. You can also see better his new "belt".

I have been keeping my eye out for their TFCon GoBot repaints at a good price.
Glad to see the play and display value for these guys still holds up.

For me, especially with KOs and third party, it's the strange, obscure or background character repaints that interest me more, as it means I can justify having official and unofficial versions of the "mold", for want of a better term. I can have black film Dinobots fighting G1 official Dinobots...

So anyway, I got myself a nice little Christmas present. I'm not letting him loose until the big day but I have handled him when I was checking he was alright (as he was listed "used" on Mandarake). He had an insiginia pre-applied but that aside he was absolutely like new. What am I talking about?

Why, only the figure that made me decide I need a smallish MP collection, the one, the only, Maketoys Re:Mastered Series DESPOTRON!

Oh boy, what a figure. I barely fiddled with him for 5 minutes and I'm already smitten. Of course, now I am basically obligated to buy Howling Meteor, as he comes with the best accessory ever- an alternate hand and head piece to allow Despotron to hold him up by the neck and berate him for his stupidity!

Holy crap, that thing is IMPRESSIVE! The transformation is pretty fun, with lots of clever surprises. Plus... WHERE IS THE CAR IN THIS BOT?!



I bought it from my local geek store. I onloaded him the very last figures I no longer cared about, including MADLAW for 140$ of store credits. The rest, I paid cash. That's 201$CAN I'm not regretting spending because that whole ensemble is worth every single cents.

Holy crap, that thing is IMPRESSIVE! The transformation is pretty fun, with lots of clever surprises. Plus... WHERE IS THE CAR IN THIS BOT?!



I bought it from my local geek store. I onloaded him the very last figures I no longer cared about, including MADLAW for 140$ of store credits. The rest, I paid cash. That's 201$CAN I'm not regretting spending because that whole ensemble is worth every single cents.

He's about £99 here in UK and I really shouldn't buy it but it's an amazing figure of one of my fave TF villains. Plus putting the cannon on Steeljaw's back REAALLY reminds me of Carnivac in the Marvel UK comics where he was often drawn with a much larger gun on his back than the toy had. And yeah I can't figure out where the hell the car disappears too even after watching a transformation in a video review. And the fact it explains how he's normal sized car like Bumblebee but a much taller bot like Prime. I'm gonna have to buy it aren't I?

Bloody went and ordered me a Peru Kill too. From same site I've ordered Alien Attack Toys Firage (Dino/Mirage). Again using my logic that if I buy it now but then later decide I don't like it or I need monies badly then I can sell with it with the knowledge that I'm pleased I owned it and satisfied my curiosity about how the thing performs it's transformation magic.

Just in case, I'm gonna sell some more old stuff on eBay.

I've been jumping on the 3P/KO legends class bots lately. Been impressed with Mech Planet Hot Soldiers and decided to give Mechfanstoys a try.

Nabbed their OS KO of Iron Factorys Tengu (Sixshot) otherwise knows as MFT Samurai.

Really well built figure with a very nice deco. It's about an inch taller than the IF version so I'm ballparking 25% bigger. Some of the novelty is lost in translation, but I'm ok with Sixshot being bigger than the other figures of this class. It's a nice figure and turns into all the things it should. Came with 2 blasters, 2 swords and 2 gun mounts for gun and tank mode. Bonus, he came with a 1:1 KO Diaclone Powered Suit in snazzy Ultra Magnus blue and white.




I'm more impressed with the Diaclone figure than Sixshot

Eventually I'll do some TR and other comparison shots in my thread.

You will not regret it. He's pure madness! Dunno what price you will pay with shipping in $CAN, but you could have got it RIGHT NAOW if you had bought it from our local Geek Stuff.

He was $120 USD shipped. So I think that is worth the wait.
