Just started Supernatural, I know I'm late to the party, but I actually am really liking it!

I tried getting into that show, but it didn't take. I might give it another shot. I just started watching My Name is Earl again.

Apparently you have to give it a season or two to warm up. Personally, I'm liking it already. It's a nice blend or quintessential horror tropes (morons being violently killed in the beginning of every episode) and good old fashioned brothers on a roadtrip (and the car, ohhh, I want that car).

Your French is terrible. [-(

Has anyone been watching Dark Matter? I got the first episode, but haven't gone back for the rest yet.

Yes! it's quite good, I've also been watching another sci fi show.....Killjoys!

Both Dark Matter and Killyjoys suffer from the SyFy syndrome of "young hot looking people".

That's what I liked about a lot of the older sci-fi stuff, it had a diverse range of people from bald to fat to young and old. These days it's just the generic 20-30 year olds that are all buffed up.

Not if you look at Buffy, he made them look like a bunch of outcasts and rejects.

The SyFy Effect is to just make hot buff people look hot and buff.

Aye, but Aaron Ashmore(Killjoys) has been in things like the X Men films & Warehouse 13 ect, so he's got a few years of acting under his belt.

Meanwhile....Roger Cross(Dark Matter) has been in things like Continuum(series 4 is starting soon I believe) which is another good show.

+ Roger is in his 40's! he was born in 1969

Got 5 episodes (out of 12) into Puella Magi: Madoka Magica.
It's essentially the Watchmen of "Magical Girl"type anime in that it is a really dark and deconstructive look at the archetype. Highly recommended to any anime fans.

Saw San Andreas. Well, not to bad, could've done without the "touching" moments, the effects were amazing, as per usual, and some of the scenes genuinely had me tense, more so the beginning with the copter in the canyon then any other scenes. Dwayne Johnson was fun to watch, he's not any great shakes as an actor, but I always enjoy his films. Overall the roles were pretty solid, obviously Alexandra Daddario was there for eye candy, but fortunately she's one of the rare few eye candy actresses who (I think) fits the bill as being genuinely gorgeous, unlike some *cough* Megan Fox *cough*.

I liked San Andreas until the end. There is no way she could have lived after drowning and being out for what, 5-6 minutes? No way. Other than that, it was a lot of fun. I also saw Ted 2 yesterday, and loved it. Hilarious. Shows just how evil and greedy Hasbro is.

Finally finished Puella Magi: Madoka Magica, which I had been watching. The ending was really sad, but was definitely a great ending to the series. Would recommend it to any anime fans, especially those who like darker and more serious shows.

One question, is the annoying comic relief character in it as much as I suspect he'll be?
