I just scored a 1/15 Garland for £45 inc. delivery, the seller said that the box is slightly damaged and sent me a picture of it and there is a rip on the box side and a slight crush on the otherside, he said a buyer retuned it as he was a MIMSB collector
so one mans trash is another mans treasure

Fantastic! I want a Garland... Maybe the Military one, I just havent had the will to shell out for it.

I'll get some pictures up when he arrives

On the topic of what to watch first when it comes to the new Robotech movie it really comes down to your memory. I for one have no recollection of Robotech whatsoever so it was a definite mistake for me to watch the movie first, I gotta get that protoculture set. Watching the whole movie all I could think about is what happened to Rad, Rook, Lancer, and Lunk? Something tells me I don't want to know. On the subject of a new series personally I would like to see one that follows the Macross saga cast, perhaps a retelling of that whole story done in updated animation.

I got my YF-19 but ACS does better pics so he can handle that. What I do have is a Henssen Robo Scott Bernard transformable Cyclone. I'm now kicking myself since I would have waited for the Masterpiece figures. Surprising that it took 20 years for an American toy company to figure out how to make them. I just hope the quality is good. If the new Shadow fighters are up to snuff I hope they re-release the first wave with the improved QC. This is the only way we can get new Alpha fighters since Yamato only has the rights to Macross. Speaking of Macross

Just to plug myself I write the Cybertronian Enquirer every other week at http://www.insidepulse.com I've recently added a new feature that looks at transformable Mecha outside of TF's needless to say Robotech features heavily.

Well that's about it. I have no idea why I wasn't getting updates that people were posting to this thread. Talk to you all soon.

I don't think there is anything further to know about that crew. Definitely there's nothing bad from the original series. It would have been nice to have some resolution to some of that, I do agree; some characters from the previous series could have been included, even if only in a slight mention.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense. I'm brain addled with homework right now.

Why yes it is a Super Max type. I got it some time last year but only had the time to open it now. I'm allways hesitant to open my Yamato's. Delightful figure that's the closest thing to a toy Yamato has ever produced.

Speaking of toys, does anyone remember a SDCC exclusive Toynami MP VF-1S done in Rick's colors? I remember hearing about it. It would have been the year after the Rick VF-1S action figure and before the 1/100 scale figure.

Since this is a hot topic in another thread if any one from Toynami or Yamato is reading and would like more plugs; I'm like dinner at Taco Bell, cheap and easy!

This is for GutterBunny and Shadow2063. Here are some comparison shots between the Toynami 1/100th and the Yamato 1/60th DYRL VF-1A Hikaru.

Now that my work week is over (though im still at work for another hour and a half)...I can do the gallery for the YF-19 and also take a comparison shot of the different sized inlcuding Banpresto 1/144th, Toynami 1/100th, Yamato 1/60th, Toynami 1/55th and the Yamato 1/48th. I have one of all of those sizes so I will take a picture of that tomarrow (promise) and get it posted.

looks like they are decent sized figures. Are they really worth their price tag(probably the real wrong thread to ask that in huh  )

Well the prices I have seen are as fallows (on Ebay and online stores to the best of my knowledge):

Banpresto 1/144th: $10
Toynami 1/100th: $20
Yamato 1/60th: $50-$70 (depending on who it is)
Toynami 1/55th (Book Masterpriece): $50-$70
Bandai 1/55th originals: $200+
Bandai 1/55th Reissues: $70-$90
Yamato 1/48th: $120-$150 (depending on who it is)
Yamato 1/48th VF-1 with Fast Packs: $200-$220

The Banpresto is really weak and fragile so $10 is a good price, the Toynami is a suggested retail price of $20 and they are worth it IMO. The Yamato 1/60th I personally wouldnt pay more then $40-50 on one. The Bandai's are old school 1983 toy tech (Transformer Jetfire) and is a ok figure but not really show accurate (kind of fat) but for 1983 one of the msot advanced toys out there. The Yamato 1/48th's are indeed worth the price in my opinions. They are done extremely werll and display so beautifully.

Since we had to start a new I wanted to repost my fav Macross figure. I am probably going to end up reposting every gallery as the photos are still in my photrobucket account doing nothing. And it jsut better helps people who want to buy these figures or just want to see some cool Macross stuff.

This was my first 1/48th figure and well now whenever I put on decals I get a exacto knife and cut down on the excess sticker. One some figures like the white ones you can get away with but, but on ones like Miria it really stands out with the extra sticker. It is very time consuming to shave off the extra.

At first I didn't want to give it stickers but I felt like it needed some MINIMAL stickers because even Stealth fighters have minimal designations and stuff. I secided to use the name Liuet. K. Warhammer, gave it the #227 and had it birthed at the SDF-1.

On the old Macross thread the galleries were mosre spaced out with like one a page.....this time I had to put 4 of them on one page

That's okay. They are definitely worth it!!

But, yeah, maybe we should get more conversation going so we can move to the next page for more galleries...

Do you have any Alphas in your collection?

Also, do you know if any Betas were ever done by anybody?
