The morning after a night of partying all you have to eat is cold pizza left over from the night before. Do you go out for fresh breakfast or just finish the pizza? Or does it depend on your hangover?

Before noon, you finish the pizza cold. After noon, you heat the bitch up.

I'll triple down on that yay.

If it's hangover breakfast, drop an over-easy egg on top.

Some foods are as good hot as they are cold. I'll add fried chicken to the list. Ever notice that things are rarely as good at like warm?

I must be defective then, cause I cannot eat pizza or chicken cold.

Or not a hobo or some of us are old enough to not have had microwaves when we were kids. Warming things up options were also burning down the house options.

I can eat almost anything cold or from the can, but I self identify as a hobo.

that is probably it. I identify with some redneck upbringings that result in some redneck ingenuity and love of racing and the smell of fuel, but I don't rank myself a hobo.

Went to a local boozahol monger and made myself a somewhat international six pack of mostly high ABV mostly dark beers.

Image
consumed from left to right; also low to high ABV

Didn't make it to Old Rasputin, Swerve is disappoint.

While in Canada I was told good things about La Fin Du Monde but it didn't impress. Maudite (same brewer) was forgettable. London Porter was good and a nice place to start. Aventinus got me back on track, but shouldn't have been sandwiched between the two not dark Canadian brews. I've had Old Rasputin before, but it was after a long day at the Ren Faire and I only barely remember ordering it. Innis & Gunn is still the winner winner chicken dinner. I first experienced them in their native land and rarely find a better stout, porter and let's be honest Scottish ale. Fortunately for me, there are a few local places that carry it.

Now to go get Rasputin some company and try again this evening

I'll see you in an hour when you come to room temperature. I'll bring my 500° charcoal fueled friend.

I'm a salt and pepper only kind of guy.

But how do you like it cooked? I like mine in the medium ballpark.Works well especially at restaurants, where they could cook it more, or less than what you order :BANG_HEAD: So long as it's not Tartar or Leather a la Car, I'm happy

Medium / medium well. Just a bit pink but not bloody. The Mrs likes them on the bloodier side.

I never order steak at restaurants because the places in my budget are going just **** it up for 5x the price as I can cook them. I've only ever been impressed by someone else's steak once and that was at Del Fagioli in Florence, but it was indeed pricey (we did however eat on it for three days). I wanted to shake the hand of whoever cooked it, it was that well cooked. Charred a bit on the outside and perfectly pink, tender and moist on the inside.

Dem hash marks

I did say salt and pepper only, buy I couldn't help but top them with some truffle butter while they rested. Grilled some foil wrapped asparagus and red potatoes with onions, all paired with a pinot noir.

Small plate, big steak

The game plan was always to only eat half of each. Now to contemplate the leftover options. Maybe omelettes in the morning?

So the other night I was bartending, and my parents and younger brothers came in to the restaurant for dinner. Once they finished and had left, one of the waitress came to me and said “(Maximo), I knew your mom is a MILF, but you never told me your dad is a DILF!”

I’ve never actually thought of my own father that way before, but now I can’t stop think about it.

Look at it this way, more often than not when men get older they resemble their fathers, so you have a bright future ahead of you if you're looking into fielding waitress opportunities. :-D Assuming you'll have the inclination and/or ability to do so.

And now the term "DILF" is in my vocabulary when I'm not sure I really wanted it to be...

Just tell yourself (or others) the D stands for DMax

So I guess we have now have to assume Maximo is a looker :-?
