Went and saw Thor Ragnarok today.

Good movie, don't ask me to compare it to the previous two because I'm one of those people who never had a problem with either of them.

Chris Hemsworth is, as always, fantastic as Thor (Liam Hemsworth not so much :-P )

The biggest "wot the?" for me was Korg. I am curious as to how he comes across when it opens in the US, because here, he was very much a Kiwi (New Zealander, same place the Director is from) with accent and mannerism, which was ... surprising to say the least.

I only sat through the mid credits scene, couldn't be bothered waiting right until the end.

And yes, we have another Stan Lee appearance, not sure how that role would tie in to The Watcher theory.

Any idea what's happened to the Punisher?(Netflix) I thought it was meant to be out during the release of Thor Ragnarok or during Halloween! still no sign of it

Hulk certainly speaks a lot more in Thor Ragnarok, although weird how it's taken him this long to hold full dialogue and conversations(well...nearly) I hope he speaks as much in Infinity War

A little too much at times. At some points it just sounded ... wrong.

He can probably converse more because of how long he was in Hulk form. Previous appearances he only stayed in Hulk for a short while, so over time his speech ability has developed.

maybe it's because Hulk might've spoken a lot more in Planet Hulk(which they've injected elements from that into Ragnarok) or something?

I'm looking forward to seeing the new Thor movie, probably going to go this Thursday night. I'm most curious about what happened to Odin, hopefully it gets explained. I know Anthony Hopkins is in the movie.

So, Thor: Ragnarok. That was one hell of a movie!!! I will openly say that it is my favorite movie of the year so far. It was thoroughly enjoyable, with all kinds of action, fun, and overall a great story and great characters.

Korg was interesting. I did learn that he was actually played by the Thor: Ragnarok director, which helps explain the Kiwi-ness of it. But a really cool thing to note!

I loved Thor channeling the lightning through him. It actually looked so much cooler than with his hammer, and he looks far better with short hair.

Also, I totally heard nothing about him losing an eye! That was a great bit there! And then Loki,
he totally took the tesseract before he left Odin's vault. And Loki actually felt pretty good there at the end

That was the midcredits scene. and I am totally calling that Infinity wars will start with The Guardians saving Thor, bringing those guys together with the Earth based heroes

I cheaped out and did a Saturday matinee (still frikkin $30), so the theater only had about a dozen or so people in it. I think I was the only one laughing at his dry wit, at least until my wife noticed and started laughing along to be nice.

How do you all feel about the potential Fox-Disney buyout? Part of me obviously wants to see Fantastic 4 go back to Marvel's capable hands, but I know if that happens, there won't be any more amazing R-rated films like Logan and Deadpool. But simultaneously, with nothing particularly amazing on the forefront of X-Men (Dark Pheonix is kinda meh and New Mutants looks ridiculous) I'd love to see Marvel reboot them in a more classic fashion.

I think this is a non-issue. Fox have the Avatar movies coming out soon, that'll boost their profits and Uncle Rupert won't give that money up.

November 17th is the drop date, according to the second trailer. There was supposed to be a Punisher panel at NYCC, but it was cancelled due to the Mandalay Bay shooting. Some people speculated that the Punisher may have even debuted earlier, but Marvel ended up postponing it out of respect for the victims and their families.

Man, I'm so over AoS. Season 4 started out promising with Ghost Rider, and then as soon as he left the show went back to being all...soapy. Its just soooooo boring.

Better not watch Inhumans then.

It started out okay, and then ... yeah. Became rather pointless by the season finale. It needed a Coulson appearance.

I have even less interest in an Inhumans TV series than a movie. The movie at least would have had Kevin Feigi at the helm and wouldn't suck balls.

I liked it(Ragnarok), great film, definitely better than the previous one.
