Some kind of virus

Three days ago I got something on my computer after my friend tried to idiotically get a torrent for Sexy beach 3 on my computer (I really think he was dissatisfied with DOA:X2 as he did this right after he bought it. )

I'm beginning to believe this is a virus of some sort, probably Trojan. Basically on my start bar to the right next to the clock (I don't the official name) it shows this shield icon that flashes from an X with a red background to a ? with a blue one.

It keeps on telling me that I have some form of virus on my computer and keeps recommending a spy ware remover. It shows this message in many random forms and keeps giving me pop ups to various spy ware removal programs, "cograts you won something" crap, and porn.

It doesn't hinder any programs or anything, nor does it slowdown, but it does freeze whatever I'm doing when it pops up and it's also very annoying.

So can anyone help me get rid of this? I've tried everything I could think of. EVERYTHING

Check through your Program Folders. There will be one that doesn't belong. Also check your add/remove programs. If it did an install it has to be in there.

Spycrush is what you got! I had that problem to, now what you want to do is get yourself a real spyware thing. You have a spam/ spiware program? set it to the higest priority and mak an imediat scan thrue your computer.

Serch with the windoes tool for Spycrush, and delite every file it finds.
This will be a real pain getting rid of. It took me and my mum a whole weekend.
Good luck!

i once had a spyware virus. it was spyware that had properties of a virus so it couldnt be deleted. was very annoying. i belive its name was called bunu-deni? i some how got onto a german porn site and i believe thats where i got it (Seriously i was reserching for a school project so no gruffs ok?) at first things were ok but theh it slowly wouldnt let me use programs. first to go were my anti-virus programs and then just ll my others. i had to quickly save all my stuff onto cds(i had yrs worth of pics and other personla data that i wasnt gonna give up) and then had to use the system restart and put it back to factory settings...thankfully it worked but it took a long time for me to get my comp back to where it was.
