I'm starting up as a freelance graphic artist (and loving it).

What do you people do for a dayjob?

i'm a mechanic, i repair aircraft components.

I work for coca-cola.

indeed i do. in fact, when the wind is right and i'm sitting in the garden, i can look straight up and see them passing over my head at a couple 100 meters

I'm a drone at Walmart. I do get 1st crack at all new incoming TF shipments, though...

I used to work at Staples. All the droning, none of the TF's. I hated it with a passion. My co-workers where great, though.

I save people in the A&E. Also trained in Rescue/EMT. Making a difference by saving lives. Some "bubble" I live in eh?

A&E Accidents and Emergency.

I work at a movie theater. I'm also currently writing a series of short stories. If that counts. And if by "short," you mean half the size of a regular novel.

Currently I'm unemployed, I'm only in high school, but I'm hoping to land a job at my local Wal-Mart or something similar this summer, I already have a friend who was a brief but very good employee that has made it clear that he'd give me a reference.

I work for an engineering firm, short description.

Long description, Admin duties + IT + Legal + Marketing. And some times I end up downstairs selling crap to customers in retail.

Previous career: Newspaper editor
Current career: My current title doesn't make sense, but I develop reports for clients and reengineer internal company processes. I may get a better title in a few weeks.

Generally companies want to keep IT people AWAY from customers...

The IT side of things isn't a big job, mostly because due to lack of money we can't afford to upgrade any of the computers.

And Windows XP is very stable, plus everyone's learnt that I'm just going to tell them to restart their computers before bitching to me.

She asked if she could remove it, I told her "No, that'll void the warranty" and walked away and thought nothing of it (surely she wouldn't be that stupid to believe me).

Half the day went by until I heard her lose it, rip the sticker off and put it on top of the monitor.

Literary translation. More specifically, my project looks to create a critical manual for comics translation, focusing on Italian to English, and including sociolinguistics, cognitive stylistics, multimodal analysis, semiotics and various aspects of the brass tack mechanics of comics and translation.

I'm a History teacher of 11 - 18 year olds.

I investigate helicopters, secretly searching for a worthy successor. I haven't found one yet...
