Has anyone seen the first episode yet? Released for free on YouTube, with the rest of the series free for PlayStationPlus users.

Thanks for the video, will be checking it out in the next day or two and will have thoughts. I am bummed not being able to watch it since I don't have PSN. Still wish it remained on FX but oh well.

So far I like it, it's a bit different from the comic but it does seem pretty good. Haven't finished the first episode though, Sony decided to give it German subtitles, non-otional subtitles. Sure it's awesome that they put them there, but it would be nice if they could be turned off.
I keep catching myself reading them and comparing them to the English dialogue, completely distracting me from the actual episode itself.... :BOOM:

But I do think it's a really awesome idea that it exists and I actually am interested in seing more content like that on my PS4.

So I only have one episode to go now to be all caught up.

I do like it, but there is something off about it. At times it doesn't really look or feel like an actual series and more like a fan project with a higher budged. It's not just the far too obvious and somehow badly done product placement, but something else that just comes up during non product placement scenes.
Now I know that the product placement's there because it's financed by Sony, but this show manages to even outdo Arrow's product placement of Microsoft stuff. I swear one of the scenes with the headphones was digitally altered in post production to better show the Sony Logo on them, which we've already seen in every scene they've been in. Plus whenever we see a Sony Product, the scene is shot in a way to make it the center of the scene. XD

Interested in seeing were they're going with Royal.

Oh yeah, the subtitles are OK for the most part, but they do suck with discerning between informal and formal dialogue, which means that when two or more characters who clearly know each other and are on first name basis get subtitles that make them talk to each other formally as if they just met for the first time.
The subtitles are also less explicit than the actual spoken dialogue, so instead of her saying "To Olympia, the best lay ever" she says "To Olympia, my lover", but worded as if he wasn't her husband but her affair.

It's pretty good as these things go but I can't buy Michelle Forbes as Retro Girl though.

I only just realized why Wolfe seemed so familiar, he's only played by Eddy Izard!
And that makes him way creepier.

Wow, that took some time to register! :D

Izzard and Copley were my biggest pulls to the series, I'll admit.

To be fair, I've only ever seen him clean and well dressed, or in drag, or both actually. And he spent most of the time in the show naked with oily long hair in his face. I was like, "Wait, is that Izzard? Na, can't be, or could it?" When he started eating people, then the flash backs happened and I recognized him - so yeah, it took ages XD

To be honest, I never looked into the cast, I knew the comic because I read the first few issues due to being free on comixology, and the show interested me because it was a cool concept, I liked the book it was based on and well, it would be a free thing on my PS+ membership XD

Only reason we had PS+ was because my brother wanted to play online on the PS4, now he hardly does that and I keep enjoying free stuff XD

I loved the comic and the show. If they make a season 2, I'm all over that
