Geek-related Confessions

I like talking, at length, to my buddies about Transformers. Knowing full-well that they don't give a s**t about Transformers. It amuses me to see how long they'll let me go on for before someone tries to quickly change the subject when I take a pause, or before one of my more frank buddies tell me to shut it. Good times.

Alright, now let's hear one of yours. One confession per-post.

I was into anime waaaaaaaay before it was hip. Same with G1 TF. Back then, some of my college mates will raz me about growing up. Yup. Grew up (sort off  ) And now? Nearly everyone is into anime ( though at present the localized anime providers are in the pits (both mainstream and ecchi) and TF.

Hate the Bayformers as much as you will but it did open up the franchise to more fans.

As for growing up? Well, now I make big @ss thugs cry like babies in the A and E.

For the longest time, I thought Khan was a Klingon. I don't consider myself a Trekkie then or now, though.

I bought a PRID Airachnid. I never felt more horrible about buying a toy.

Despite the acting, I like Attack of The Clones and Revenge of The Sith. The Phantom Menace is still a turd. >:oP

As a kid, I had a lot of My Little Ponies. I combed their hair, then had them get into death battles.

And if you were an adult, that would be...weird and normal at the same time, actually.

I actually have a vague dislike for Transformers. I just do this because I love overworking myself on a voluntary basis and fuelling my real life anger with internet fights that I don't get involved in.

I especially hate comics.

Every once in a while, I'll dress my Transformers up with something. Unicron has a Black Lantern ring. Classics Optimus has a Santa Claus hat. Megatron has the ring of power from The Lord of The Rings. Ripclaw has a bow with a bell on it from an Easter bunny chocolate. And I want to get a Hawaiian shirt for Metroplex.

I enjoy Revenge of the Fallen, and have way more problems with Dark of the Moon. If it were just the first 2 films, then i'de have alot less problems with the cinematic universe, despite a cliffhanger ending.

I quite enjoy Superman Returns. In fact I think Brandon Routh made a fine Chris Reeves style Superman.

I don't think he was a particularly good actor then, but he certainly got better. Give him a shot at being Superman now, he'd probably knock it out of the park.

I'd certainly like him better than the current guy.

Okay, one from me, let's see...

I unashamedly love the Halo franchise, not for it's gameplay, because I'm terrible at shooters, and basically dislike them in general, but because I enjoy the universe, the characters (such as they are) and the story (such as that is).

Which brings me to my confession: I don't see what's so special about Game of Thrones. I've sat through two seasons and 90% of the time I was bored.

Not much of a confession, but no one around me seems to share my view on this.

For me it just never caught my attention, so I haven't even tried.
