This will be of interest to fans of other 80s cartoons...

If you grew up watching the original series of Transformers as I did, you probably watched He-Man and the Masters of the Universe on the same channel (ITV over here in the UK).

Soundtracks of 80s cartoons have, up till now, been virtually non existent. We've seen the odd short album here and there but nothing comprehensive (and that includes Transformers, bar Intrada's recent release of Vince DiCola's complete score for The Movie a couple of years ago).

However, that's now changed! La La Land Records have released a 130 minute 2-CD set of Shuki Levy's music for He-Man. 130 minutes! Levy composed the music for other 80s cartoons like M.A.S.K., Inspector Gadget and The Mysterious Cities of Gold.

I bought a copy and it's wonderfully enjoyable stuff!

Here's the cover and a look inside:

I've been playing this non-stop since my copy arrived. Fingers crossed that it's the first of many similar CDs!

If anyone's interested, the website is La La Land Records.

(and by the way I am nothing to do with their company!)
