I saw this series and i think it´s amazing. Firt off it has a huge bodycount (through the series wou see hundreds of casualites from both sides), it has a credible war, even the characters are well written, i even simpatzied with some of the villans specially General Shiva near the end of the war (got to admire the loyalty of the guy and he´s death scne despite his convictions was touching) , and Thrax, the fighter pilot. overall one the best cartoons i ever saw.

It's funny that this topic is posted today. I was just talking to my buddy last night about how we should have bought the season on DVD when we were at Wizard World Philly this year.

I love this series. One of the best cartoons to have come from the US. (it's US right?) I just wish that there would be an official DVD release, but I just don't see it happening.

I saw it as a kid too. It's been too long since I seen it, it should come on Boomerang.

YOU HEAR ME, BOOMERANG, YOU GOTTEN STRIKE ONE FROM NOT BRINGING G1 ON, DON'T GET STRIKE TWO!

I used to love this series as a kid, the first few waves of toys were kick ass but then they started getting ridiculous and making them look like football players and samurai's.

I loved the series as a kid, and I vaguely remember that before it was canceled it looked like they were going to cross over with Robotech, but I could be mistaken. We are talking about a cartoon I haven't seen in over a decade. Now when you say you just saw it do you mean it's been released on DVD or you saw it somewhere like youtube?

I loved this series and the toy line. Unfortunately I no longer have the toys or VHS tapes of the first season. I did buy the Laserdiscs a few years ago, but those only cover the first 9 or so episodes (out of 13) for season 1. Even worse is that I don't have a Laserdisc player...

It's a crime that it hasn't been released on DVD. There's a Myspace profile that is trying to rally up support for a DVD release. I helped a bit by contacting Will Meugniot through his ebay account and asking him if there was something effective the fans could do to get Universal to consider a DVD release.

I love this show.

It was well done and well written.

The toys were fun as well.

Some parelels with WWII can be found when you think about it.

Phaetom - Hitler (not too hard)
General Shiva - (Rudolph Hess maybe? Carl Donetiz)
Thrax - Rommel? (Loyal but not maniac like the others)
Homeworld Resistance ( WWII Resistance)

Check out that Myspace profile I posted. I don't think you need a Myspace of your own to check it out... there are lots of pics and links to the episodes there.

I did a google search for exo-squad about a year ago and found a site that had amoung other things the contact info for the company who owns the rights to the show. It have advice on how to word a letter as well as does and don'ts. Such as net speak , and other forms of bad grammar. I sent them an email and got a response saying that they don't have plans at this time ,but are considering it. So maybe if alot of people wrote them...who knows.

Here is something I just found ,its contact info for the right people at various networks who may show it.

Yeah, there was a Veritech (?) Fighter jet for the Exo Squad figures to sit in. There were lots of Robotech toys in the last year or so of the toy line. I forget why exactly, but the packaging for the Robotech toys claimed that someone from the Robotech universe sent in a bunch of their technology to aid the humans in their war.

I don't have much of my old Exo collection anymore ( ) but I do have the small-ish, red, rounded Robotech guy with green clawed hands, and the larger grey version with shoulder cannons that seated an Exo Squad figure. Their names escape me... something like Invid Fighter?
