Flash Gordon

Well, it looks like the SciFi Channel has reinvented yet another classic scifi property. Flash Gordon premieres in August with the guy who played Oliver Queen on Smallville as Flash. Definitely looks interesting enough for me to give it a try.

Thats not the guy who plays Oliver Queen on Smallville.He was on the show at the begining he played Lana's ex boyfriend Whietny!

And just a note, they are finally re-releasing Flash Gordon the way it was supposed to be released (some may remember the original abomination that was released to the US some years back) on DVD August 7th

Though they'll no doubt have someone remake it. It's probably about the only remaining Queen song that hasn't been whored out. :-(

cool thanks for that link, id seen the news about it in sfx magazine but didnt know there was any clips, only problem im gonna have with this series is ming, he wont be max von sydow.

I wasn't too keen about this kid on Smallville but after listening to the old theme a crap load, I'm getting more into it.

I just hope it doesn't go the way of most of the Sci-fi Originals, slow, crappy and 1 season long.

They should get Muse to redo the Queen theme. Knights of Cydonia is by far the closest to them I've heard any modern group sound like.

This series actually seems decent Eric Johnson kind of annoyed me on Smallville but I think he could be a good FG.
