You bet I'm excited. The Cubs are going to the World Series. I can't imagine how some of the lifelong Chicago Cubs fans feel that have lived here their whole lives. I didn't move to Chicago until 2002. I lived 6 blocks from Wrigley Field for the first 5 years that I was here. It was hard not to become a Cubs fan during that time. I had never really been into baseball until then, but I got hooked. Very exciting time! History in the making.

Noticed this today when I popped on. I'm excited too for both teams, but I am more for the Indians due to the fact I'm from Ohio. I liked playing Baseball with friends and family while growing up even though I wasn't a sports fanatic. I fell in love with watching baseball last summer when I was recovering from a major surgery in the hospital. Was about the only thing on at times when I was stuck in bed recovering.

Considering this year, it was good just to hear any good news! Go Cubbies!

Must be the year for patient fans. Both football codes in Australia (NRL & AFL) were won by teams who hadn't won a premiership (NRL - Sharks - 44 years) or had been a long time between premierships (AFL - Bulldogs - 55 years).

Good luck to them!

My teams are out of contention so I would pick the Cubs. I want to see them break their curse for two reasons.

I'm a Mariners fan because I am from the PNW. Even though the Mariners have had good years, they have never won a WS. I know what it is like to root for a team even when they don't get to a championship. I can imagine how exited their fans must be.

I also like the RedSox because when I was a kid in 2004 my mom was in the hospital and I was constantly worrying. The mariners were out of contention but I was able to watch the Sox play to keep my mind off things. I wanted them to win because they came so close for so many years. I was really happy when my mom got better and came home and my whole family got to watch them break their curse.

I don't care if it bothers people that I admire more than one team. I like the sport itself >:oP

Glad to hear you are rooting for the Cubbies. Like you, I also have more loyalties than to just one team. I also like the Tigers (I'm originally from the Detroit area), though while I have some great and cherished memories going to see the Tigers with my family, I just wasn't into baseball until I moved to Wrigleyville in 2002. Hard not to get into baseball during those years when living so close to Wrigley Field.

A Cubs vs Tigers in the world series game would be a dream come true, though I'd have to root for the Cubs. I'd like to see the Cubs get their revenge from the '45 World Series.

My loyalties are much more muddied when it comes to the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears. I root for both except for when its Lions vs Bears, then I root for the Lions. Lions football on Thanksgiving was a longstanding family tradition, plus I followed the Lions from long before moving to Chicago.

Great game last night. Nice to see the Cubbies tie it up. Was a little worried after they got shut out of the first game. Man Kluber is tough! Looking forward to seeing the game 4 rematch to see how they do then.

I've been an Indians fan ever since I've known baseball. I've gone through some postseason heartbreak. Tonight was very painful for me. But they deserved to lose after blowing a 3-1 lead. Congratulations to the Cubs.

Last night's game was absolutely amazing. Hats off to the Indians for being an amazing adversary to the Cubbies. Not sure what to make of either managers' decisions throughout the game, but it is what it is. Trying to figure out if we can get to the Cubs World Series parade tomorrow. Hopefully my wife can get off work.

Both teams were amazing, it was a really fun game to watch. Tense at times though it really had a bit of everything. I am so happy for the cubbies! I think that the Indians did really well too and it was very close! I'm going to miss baseball til next year!

I really hope the Mariners win a world series someday!
