Done with Try, gonna start Divers soon enough. I really don't get why people don't like it? Sure, it's different from the first season, but it's not bad at all. There were some amazing fights in there.

Some weren't happy that the characters weren't the same (though as long as Ral is there, I'm happy). I do think people were being overly harsh but then again, I defend G Gundam

What's wrong with G Gundam?

It was a complete departure from what came before, focusing on dbz style fights rather than gunfights. It also had a stupid amount of gundams, one for each country in the actual gundam fight, some of these played on stereotypes
Like Holland having a windmill gundam

...so what's the problem (other than possibly stereotypes)?

Lol
people were just not down with the change of style, hence why we bounced from G Gundam in 1994 to 1995s Gundam Wing

Fair. Honestly, I don't mind when Gundam goes shounen; war dramas are fine too but I like getting hyped.

Yup! Got here way faster than I expected. Though I guess that is in character.
The RX-78-2 Revive is gonna look so basic next to this...

You want to see basic? Try going back and watching the original amine series in all its 40 year awesomeness...yikes only seems like yesterday I was celebrating its 30th.

I do wanna watch it at some point. Though right now I'm catching up on Build Divers. After that, next in line is the rest of 00 & Wing, and then Unicorn Re:0096 and IBO.

You've got two options of the series, either watch the original anime or watch the movie trilogy that tomino put together in the early eighties (which led to more model sales and increased popularity which of course led to Zeta Gundam). The movie trilogy removes a lot of filler though each film is three hours long. There is an abundance of new animation mixed in to help bridge scenes together or clean up parts that just didn't work before.

Think I'll go with the movies, then.

I dunno, I haven't built them yet.
I've been on vacation in NC, and I got these at a hobby shop thanks to a generous family member. I'm on the way home right now, gonna try and take my time with these.

My local Hobbytown USA finally got a new manager with some common sense, finally. They have an entire isle dedicated to Gundam on both sides. I saw some older HG kits like Wing. 1/60 HG kits, a few perfect grades, plenty of RG's, a case with more limited edition MG's like MG Wing ZERO Custom EW, quite a number of master grades, and the recently released Perfect Grade Exia. I decided to get MG Zeta 2.0, which I hear is not the best version (that belongs to PG Zeta) But it's okay so far.

Nice
I wish we had stores like that in the UK...well ones near me.
@Sigma that relative must really have owed you one to get all them for you
So have we all heard the news about the live action gundam movie then by a partnership of legendary (pacific rim, godzilla etc) and sunrise/Bandai Namco? What's people's reaction then to this? They've promised it won't be another G-Saviour...

I'm excited! Though I'm also curious if it's gonna be an adaptation or an original story. I'm sure the effects are gonna look great no matter what happens!
Oh, also...
