Since there's a 'new' Robotech/Macross Thread, I thought I'd repost my querry...

I have a 1/60 Yamato DYRL VF-1A Hikaru/Rick that I've owned for about 6 months or so, in addition, I have a 1/60 BGP Armor set for it...

I have recently picked up a G1 Jetfire, and have since fallen out-of-love with the Yamato figure. Looking on Ebay (at some of the more favorable COMPLETED transactions), I think there's a shot of making back a little of my money from the two items.

I was curious to know what some of you thought a proper going rate for an opened 1/60 DYRL Hikaru & an opened BFG Armor set were worth? The stickers are unapplied on both items, the boxes are both available (if not a little box wear on the corners), and the figures were taken good care of (no scratches, figures aren't MINT (as I've had it on display), but very, VERY good condition!)

If it'd help, I can add pictures later... But I was just looking for a rough estimate... Also, should I try Carbombya first, as I'd probably be fine with a Trade?

Thanks everyone!

Holy crap now I did not know that...but if they make a 1/60th SV-51...talk about major drool there. I always like the design, and I have a Hasegawa model kit of the SV-51 Nova (the purple chics).

EDIT: I checked on Macross World and it is true! Wow from what Ghram had to say about it....it sound fantastic. This thing sounds like a nother must have!

Well I got my MISB Yamato 1/60th DYRL VF-1A Hikaru for $50 BIN (free shipping) on Ebay. I have seen several others go for around that same amount right there. The Hikaru isnt as rare as the DYRL VF-1A Max, so there more common. If it is opened and everything is in pretty good condition I think you could try and aim for $40 for it. As for your armor pack... You might be able to get $50+ for it. I havent seen it on Ebay very much llately and so they are getting ahrder to come by. Ive recalled many such auctions being around that price, which is why I have shyed away from it.

I don't know if this was posted on the other thread (I was just an occaisional visitor here in the past) but the new Robotech Shadow Cronicles comes out Feb 6th!! I'm jacked!

$20 at Amazon.

As for my collection, it's really pitiful but the masterpieces stuff is usually a bit too expensive for me. Though, I have found some deals that have helped me increase my collection. Methusalen, if the price is right, I may save you the trip on E-Bay.

My collection, from memory as I'm at work:

Fokker's Super Valkrie from Macross: Do You Remember Love
Bernard's Masterpiece Alpha
Masterpiece Shadow Alpha
Loose, in various bad conditions, all three Large Matchbox Alphas and a small (4"?) bernard/Cyclone
(Traded my big Cyclone for a ton of Anime VHS about 15 years ago *kicks self HARD*)
Various small Valkrie toys.
Red VF19 from Macross Plus (or really, the Animations following Macross Plus using the same Mecha. I feel embarrased I cannot remember the titles...)
A Bandai Super Valkrie (Same mold as Jetfire with the exception of the head.)

But, the cream of the crop, and my favorite (it's so hard not to play with it) the large Matchbox SDF-1. Anybody know if there's a mold out there to put the "Armor" series spacecraft on the "arms" to make the SDF-1 more Macross movie accurate?

Anywho. Hi! My name's Jake, and I'm a transforming toyaholic!! [/Pacabel's canon]

Well, I definately wasn't expecting the armor set to be worth more than the figure, so thank you for the info!

Shadow Chronicles is coming out to DVD so soon? I was hoping for a little more of a theatrical release... wishful thinking on my part I guess...

Yeah. I was hoping to see it in a theater as well. Guess I'll have to go over to my brother-in-law's 54" DLP.

Man I need one of those...

And a good sound system...

And a good room to put them in...

And the list can go on...

I Opted for the Yamato 1/48th DYRL Super/Strike VF-1S Hikaru Skull Leader instead. But for now Focker is on the back burner. Next on my list is to get the 1/60th YF-19 and then the VF-0A with the add on boosters....then the SV-51 =P~

The SV-51 was ok news for me. I mean it'll be awesome. But it's going to be over US$200 :( ages before I get it then...I was hoping for the YF-21 more though 8) hoping...

The SV-51 looks VERY nice though.

Definitely getting this Armour set though. Go nice on my 1/48th Roy.

Still hoping for the 1/60 YF-19A repaint though..that would be sweet.

Im definetly getting the SV-51 and the add on for the YF-19. Suposedly its going to have lights on the drive and all of that.

I always thought the SV-51 was a really cool design, but the legs are going to be goofy. Thats whay it's going to come with it's own stand and all of that because of the akward wings. Still I can't wait till they do the repaint for the Chic....

And that white prototype looks like it could be the VF-0B\D. the trainer version with the delta fixed wings. You can check out the 1/72nd Hasegawa VF-0D model kit.

Yes!! I'd love to get an official copy of DYRL. The ones I have are fine, but the VHS I have is degrading, and the DVD is lacking a bit in picture quality.

I haven't seen Shadow Cronicles yet, but it's getting some good reviews so I'm hopeful. I'll post a review in 2 weeks when I get to see it.

So now that Yamato is finally making new molds (VF-0, YF-19 and the SV-51) do you guys think a YF-21 is possible on it's way? I was very displeased with the 1/72nd YF-21 and YF-21 Fast Pack (The YF-21 Fast Pack is definetly the more superior and show accurate of the 2).

Though if I could choose the next 1/60th scale figure...it'd have to be the VF-11B. What about you guys what would your choises be?

Yeah it's amazing how many new moulds they're just throwing out. But I'm not really expecting anything new until either they put out a good portion of repaints and partial re-moulds or the "special surprise" Yamato are hinting at with the 25th anniversary of Macross looming every closer.

Yeah I agree with you when you say that the next 'mould' could be the VF-11B but I think alot of people would rather see a YF-21 first  so I think they will continue Macross Plus before back off into MAcross 0 with something like the VF-0D. Also hope for an SDF-1 by Yamato, hopefully that might be our anniversary surprise.

Oh! and we mustn't forget the "other Transforming toy from an 80's anime" That'll will definitely be a new mould. So all that cash that was spent on there whoring of the 1/48 VF-1 mould went to a good place

A SDF-1 from Yamato would be nice. Right now there is that DYRL SDF-1 from Wave (who I know nothing about). I am debating on if I want to get it or not.

The arms supposedly seem a little on the flimsy side. I'm just waiting to see if Yamato makes one and if they don't do one by the anniversary date I think I'll just cave in and buy the High Wave Macross even though it's colourless and I have no idea on QC with High Wave or know anything else about them. I believe Yamato being the big shot's they are...could make a better SDF-1.

TBH I am quite surprissed that Yamato has never made a SDF-1 in any scale. I am also suprised at how very many few SDF-1 have been made over the years. It is what the show is based on and there is so little love for it.

I am sure that Ghram of Macrossworld is going to pick up a Wave SDF-1 and then we will be able to know of its quality, he does quite thorough reviews on these things.

heh, I`m actually thinking of getting the new SDF-1 aswell...just to put next to my big ol' transformable SDF-1.and I completed the 1/100 series 1 and 2 today by picking up VF-1A Hikaru, VF-1A Max, VF-1J Max, VF-1J Miria and a second VF-1S Roy(this one will become a Jetfire btw, turns out he`s the perfect size to Titanium Jetfire), only need an SDCC VF-1S hikaru to have the full set so far...btw, what do you guys think the odds are that Toynami will do the twoseaters like the VF-1D, the Elint and the Ostrich?afterall, we haven`t gotten a CF VF-1A yet either nor a DYRL Kakizaki.

I do recall hearing that Toynami is planning on doing like 21 different figures, so there could be a great chance of new molds. As for the DYRL Kakazi...probably only a matter of time and same goes for the legendary Cannon Fodder. Still waitining on the Fast Packs though.

BTW Wave's SDF-1 is about the same size as a 1/48th VF-1.
