I don't remember much of the series, (I was like, 10,) but everybody seems to hate it. I watched the last episode of it on youtube and I loved it! there was alot of violence (which I do love..) so, I guess my question is:
what's so bad about Armada?

the character's where one dimensional, the plot's generally simplistic, the kids where probably the most annoying ever, the dubbing to english features many errors in naming, transliteration, and nonsensical dialogue which does not match the action onscreen, and the minicon thing is reminiscent to pokemon, which wasn't particularily attractive, and it wasn't G1(which upsets the GEEWUNNERS!), and the mini-con gimmick often spoiled the toy figures.
it's not actually that bad, it just that most of the community is divided into cliques that are in love with one series and only one.
i think it's probably my third favourite season behind G1 season 2, and Cybertron/galaxy force

Oh. I get it. Yeah, I like G1 a lot better, but Armada was good to. I guess I only liked it though because I watched it before I had seen the Gen 1 series. Thanks for answering!

I liked Armada. It's the only other series besides the original that I've seen. Never got interested in Beast Wars.

I was too little to remember Beast Wars, eventhough I know that I watched it religiously... I've been thinking about just buying the series on DVD.

Most people couldn't stand the Unicron Trilogy, as they focused too much on the kids and were looking for something(minicons, energon, and cyber keys). The searching just screws the show cuz you know the autobots will find what the need. G1 never had things like that did they?

10 years old? Wow.. no offense.
Well, I didn't like it because Besides a very select few characters, they seemed have said "Let's just f*** the semi-realistic designs, and go with g2 (psychdelic colours) style". That, and the characters being very one-sided and the humans were useless and unwanted. And the fact that it dragged on to two more series (C'mon, Megatron was changed to Galvatron 3 times, and its the same character!). Although, I did feel Armada was the best of the three.

well, i never watched the show, but the toys i've got were good, and it was the first series since g1 that i really got a lot of. might have to pick up some of the dvds now that they're all cheap to cash in to the movie.

The Dubbing is what really disappointed me. There is very little characterisation, even though the main cast numbers are fairly low. (characterisation is about the same as the Autobots got in the movie, bare bones, and over in a flash.)
The animation is top notch, the use of stock footage was low (especially compared to Cybertron and Energon).
The story starts off slow, and for the first season or so, they rinse repeat the collection stories, slowly adding a new bot or con every 5 episodes or so.
However, the last 15-20 episodes were very good, the story came together, and the Transformers war was shown as a vast battle, with thousands of warriors per side, rather than the dozen or so combatants per side that were used in Energon and Cybertron.

I actually loved Armada.
It was the first series I ever saw. But I know one thing that was certainly annoying were those darn kids...

I just bought the DVD series just because Starscream is the anti-hero and he's pretty darn cool.
The kids are -super- annoying, but at least I can skip through those parts.
Oh, and one of the best lines in series is during the strangely brief Nemesis Prime eps where Starscream says "I look like Thundercracker."

In my opinion, I think Armada was very good. Although I do wish Hasbro hadn't rushed it out of production from Japan like it did. If they let them complete the dubbing and stuff, it probably would have gotten better reception here...

Also, does anyone know where I can find subbed eps of Micron Legend(Armada in Japan)?

Armada's pretty good overall, and i loved the concept of Sideways as the dual-allegiance sorta character.
