Fresh off the press...
GameStop, owner of EB Games ANZ (Australia & New Zealand), will close all 38 NZ stores by end of January this year.
Distribution centre to follow shortly thereafter by 28 February.
Not sure what this means for the remaining 300+ stores in Australia, which has seen some stores closed over the past few years.
Kiwis are grabbing bargains to clear stock. :DANCE:

Kiwis will be able use EB Games Australia online site in the coming months, supposedly.

From EB Games NZ FAQ page.

Q: What happens to my preorder if the product releases after 31 January 2026?

A: All preorders for products releasing after 31 January 2026 will be cancelled. Refunds can be processed using the following methods:

-Instore preorder: Please visit the store you placed your preorder in and our team will provide you with a full preorder deposit refund.

-Online for Click & Collect preorder: Please visit the store you selected for Click & Collect and our team will be able to cancel your preorder and provide you with a full preorder deposit refund.

-Online for Home Delivery preorder: Simply head to your Order History (EB Games) and choose the 'CANCEL ORDER' option, then your deposit will be refunded within 3-5 business days.
