Get ready for the Chipmunks to bust a cap in your cracker non-chipmunk ass.

Thats right.

The Chipmunks are straight up GANGSTA!

http://www.thechipmunks.com/

I pray to god they get Ice T, Coolie, and Ice Cube to do the voices, have them use helium for the chipmunk effect.

It's quite official, unfortunately.

And what's the real first taste we get from the trailer ? That's right ! Fecal humor ! Theodore craps on the sofa and Alvin puts it in his mouth. Now isn't that fun for the whole family ?

I was a huge fan of the Chipmunks back in the day.

They were supposed to be playing the popular style of music of the time, and now rap is one of the most popular styles of music.

So it makes sense to make them Gangstas.

Plus, it sounds like a hilarious concept

I just watched the trailer and dude........ NO. that was lame. Underdog with a side of Garfield lame. everything we enjoyed from our childhood does not need or deserve to be made into a feature length film. And hey I'm black and I enjoy (some) Hip-hop music but I know its not the most popular music in the world or the country for that matter. This movie is a flop waiting to happen.

The trailer for it before Simpsons made me want to bust a cap in my own cracka ass.

I actually said, out loud, clear enough for everyone to hear in the theatre, "that was the stupid f*cking thing I've ever seen in my life."

I want to see that trailer again just so I can yell it out again. Someone deserves to be shot for making this movie.

I'm going into Computer Animation, and that trailer literally made me stop and wonder for the first time if I'm on the right path in life.

I didn't say it was the most popular style of music, I said it was one of the most popular music genres.

And that is the truth.

What do most people listen to now a days?

either emo or rap or country

Except for me, I'm a metal head

I'm impressed with three things...

1.) They got the original voices back. (That's a shocker.)

2.) Jason Lee is perfect for Dave. (He's even got the "Alvin scream", down pat.)

3.) They're absolutely adorable.

Poop joke aside (which, considering that they're using it to promote it this early in the game...) I'm willing to give it a chance. Who knows? It might actually be good.

Once in a while...movies based on '80s cartoon properties end up doing over $400,000,000.00 in box office receipts. ;)

Actually, we got emo country rap. Once.

"Over And Over Again" by Tim McGraw, featuring Nelly. (and don't even try and say it wasn't. lol)

What would you call it exactly? Cemorapuntry? Oh wait, no...it's just crap.

I would like to verbally display my displeasure at this, but due to F, S, C and both B words being frowned upon here, I'll just say that it looks crap.

It seems like we are the only two that are going to give this flick a chance. :-(

That song went over and over again...over and over again...it goes over and over again....

And they played it every other song on that poopy teeny music channel my sister listens to.

CURSE YOU CHANNEL 103.3! CUUURRRSE YOOOUUUU!!

As for the movie, I'll probably end up seeing it when my niece plays the DVD over and over at my house.

And risk getting the **** kicked out of me by my sister? I think not.

In any case, I'm not much of an Alvin and the Chipmunks fan, but I'll give this movie a shot when I see it.

Loved the Chipmunk's in the day. Now there is one time a year where I will listen to any of their music...

"Christmas, Christmas time is near...blach, blah..and blah, blah, blah..."

I am sure I won't give this a chance in the theaters, but I might see it on DVD. :P
