Does Your Legislative Representative Represent You?

Here is a simple philosophical debate for politics. Does your elected Federal Legislature Representative, either in the House or Senate, actually represent you? Tis a valid question to be addressed to the masses at this point. I am curious to see whether or not people agree with what their congressmen do or do they disagree with them. Furthermore do you expect that these representatives be delegates that voice your own opinions or trustees that are there to voice what they think as best for the greater good?

Politicians are like Lawyers, they will represent you if the price is right (thats why they go to law school).

Most are honest when they start out, but as they learn how the business works many end up following their wallets instead of their constituants.

The few good ones you never hear about because media addresses stories relevent to their agenda only. Most of those agendas are the same as the popular representatives from whom they recieve revenue.

With that being more specific than you asked for I'll give the simple answer, No. In Fact, I oppose most of his/her votes and agendas.

Sort of, I've met him and hes an ok guy, but I don't agree with everything he stands for. Inevitably though every politician is going to vote on issues based on a mix of their own personal viewpoint and their political partys viewpoint. Also as long as people have different and conflicting views its not possible for an elected politician to represent everyone at once, inevitably someone will feel misrepresented.

Hell no. The legislature in Austin takes more "breaks" than most slackers at McDonald's.

They don't care at all.

Oh yeah! No more "Minibot"!

Now I am a "Fuzor"! SWEET!

Wait...I hate Beast Wars.

Damnit.

No, I don't believe they represent me at all.

They only care about raising taxes, stealing people’s properties through emminet domain, and giving more money to schools.

The usually diatribe bull **** spewed out of every politician’s mouth left right or middle.

Their all liar’s regardless.

I don't feel bush represents me at all anymore either.

I used to be a staunch bush supporter, but im no longer on that limb.

We need change on a large scale from the smallest part of our government to the top.

Our countries never going to change if these old fogies keep leading us the way they are. They only care about how fat their wallets are, and couldn’t give a **** less about normal hard working people who work everyday just to take care of their kids and families.

I also feel tremendously annoyed and irate at the fact our government on both sides just let illegal’s come over from Mexico. Give them anything they want from school, job placement, childcare and health insurance.

Who fits the bill for that one folks, us.

Because they all want the Spanish vote dem and rep.

A quote by Mark Twain says it all about our congress....

"It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly American criminal class except Congress.__
Mark Twain"

This is true about the usa government as a whole......

[Mankind] is governed by minorities, seldom or never by majorities. It suppresses its feelings and its beliefs and follows the handful that makes the most noise. Sometimes the noisy handful is right, sometimes wrong, but no matter, the crowd follows it.
