My friend needs help with his iMAC and AIM

He just got an iMAC and for some reason it keeps closing AIM on him.
He tried changing his password thinking someone might be using his name elsewhere but no dice.
Anyone have any ideas what's wrong?

i dont kno a whole lot a about 'macs ///
is he using an actual AOL IM client or a thirdparty (ie Trillian or Zango)

my friends had this problem too. but honestly aim sucks on a mac, tell him to get Adium.... its a instant messaging program for mac users, but they can communicate with anyone even those on aim, icaht, and other im programs. its what i use and personally, i think its better than aim. tons of cool feature too, and its free.

Is he using the actual AIM program or iChat? I've never had iChat crash on me.
