Ah yes, it's that time of year again where the rich pay, and the poor get refunded.

I filed my taxes a couple of weeks ago with a friend of the family that works for H & R Block. I thought I would have to sign a bunch of paper work first before anything, but I was pleasantly surprised when I checked my account balance tonight:

Now all I need is for Botcon registration to open and I'll be set.

Always a pleasant suprise!! I unfornuately am self employed now so no tax back for me anymore

I am getting more, this is just my State return. The big one will be the Federal return.....

Nice return. I'm from Florida, so I don't have to worry about state taxes; but for the past few years, I've only gotten a few hundred back at tax time.

Which reminds me: I still need to file. Damn.

Funny, I'm fairly poor and I owe $100.

Mine was already spent on bills before I ever got it. And now that this month is paid I am now screw-ed for next month. Yay!

I got back 5800. Gotta love kids and a wife in college. I got deductions like a mutha****a!!!!!!1

Ours went towards registration and tuition to high school for my oldest daughter.

I got back $1500 but just think about all the money you shelled out that you'll never see again that went to absolutely nothing whatsoever.

The 13 year old (will make 14 in May...) is starting high school and the 2 year old will be going to school in a couple of years so that will be more $$ from tax returns and such to help pay for tuition.
