The blood drive would have been a riot.

Stormtroopers, Vader, and Boba, forcing people to give blood.

There was a time I would have ragged on your choice of costumes, but the Imp 'Gunners' have killed me so many times in Battlefront II that I have to give them some respect.

The Gunners are one of the "rarer" costumes in the 501st.
The helmet does give me headaches though.

I have 5 costumes actually.

Imperial Gunner
Imperial Navy Trooper (Death Star Trooper)
Imperial Crewman / Officer
Sith Lord
Stormtrooper

That's still no reason to take it off! :P

CB bagging aside, it's good to see you guys out doing your little bit for the community. :grin:

It is fun to give back to the community it really is.
It so warms my heart so see the kids smile and enjoy themselves (the adults get into it too)..

I have had poopy weeks at work, do a troop on Friday or Saturday and I feel rejuvenated.. It is almost like a sort of therapy.

You buy those outfits, or make them yourselves?

Some outfits can be bought.
Stormtroopers come in a kit that you assemble

There are tutorials and detachments for a good percent of the costumes so there is always a plethora of knowledge to help out.

An example of how I put my gunner suit together.

Helmet & wrist comm = ebay
Flightsuit = army surplus
cogs on shoulders = ebay
boots = caboots
belt = ebay
gun = I made my own E-11 and DH-17
"bib" = ebay
gloves = army surplus

Some people buy costumes in one piece, and some bit by bit.

The Sith Lord....is that your Anakin costume, or a new one I haven't seen?

You need to rock out a shadow stormtrooper costume, CB. That would kick so much ass, kind of like an imperial playing a guitar.

Yeah, the SL is Anakin.
A red TK would be cool..
My next costume is going to be a Tie Pilot. :D

I assume you're just buying/making a new helmet and life-support console right? Or do you have to have a second flight suit etc.?

I am going to use the flightsuit I have,and eventually I am going to get a second one to cut down on the wear and tear.
I know of someone that sells the tie pilot kit and that includes:
helmet
chest box
chest and back armor
shoulder straps

Cool outfits.

However, you guys are in front of a Pawn shop right? I never thought about it, but I'm surprised that the Blood Services agreed to park in a Pawn Shop's parking lot, seems fishy...

Th pawn shop was the ones that supported the blood drive.
They had another bloodmobile by one of the malls but they (the mall) do not want anyone in any sort of costume on the mall property (unless it is Halloween).

I guess that a business is a business. At least they support the blood Drive. We have one coming up in a few days. I give Blood twice a year. Once in the spring to get into the medieval fair for free and this one to get off of work and still get paid. ;)^

There was dude across from me at the last blood drive to get into the medieval fair. We struck up a conversation. I could tell he was wearing a Jedi outfit, he said with a little alteration, it becomes a medieval outfit. Pretty much the same sans the lightsaber and any techno gadgets.

I still need a medieval tunic, I just don't want to pay for one.
