THE BATMAN features the most complex and intriguing character in comic book history in action-packed super heroic adventures, melding the renowned character's extraordinary physical prowess and super-sleuthing skills with a new range of experimental Bat-gadgets and an amped-up Batmobile. The series premiered in fall 2004 and picked up Batman's story in his mid-20s, when he's just finding his way as a protector, defender and Caped Crusader, while balancing his public persona as billionaire bachelor Bruce Wayne. In the upcoming third season, the Dark Knight continues his relentless quest to rid Gotham City of its supervillains, but he's not alone. Robin joins the team, and the fabled Dynamic Duo is also occasionally joined by Batgirl. Harley Quinn, Black Mask, Killer Moth, the Everywhere Man and a brand-new Clayface join the rogues' gallery of villains, led by the Joker, Penguin and Riddler, who ceaselessly torment Batman and Gotham City. THE BATMAN is based upon the DC Comics characters and is executive produced by Sander Schwartz and Alan Burnett for Warner Bros. Animation. Duane Capizzi and Mike Goguen serve as supervising producers, and Linda Steiner and Jeff Matsuda are producers.

THE BATMAN, which is nominated for a 2006-2007 Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Special Class Animation Program category, will focus its new season on the introduction of Batman's Justice League peers -- Superman, Aquaman, The Flash and several others. Look for the new season of The Batman to air on the KidsWB on September 22, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT.

Superman looks hilariously bad.

But this season may be worth watching, hopefully Hal Jordan will have a decent part. Since he's been shafted for DC cartoons for awhile now.

They should just call it "The New Justic League" and get it over with.

Actually it looks like they tried to make him a 'grown-up' version of Superboy from the Legion of Super Heroes show. Notice that his eyes actually have whites this time.

Hmm, Clark looks like the designers took influence from the movie versions of him. :)

I would think the word Super in the title of the thread would have been a tipoff...:-P

It's super! Thanks for asking. Everything is super when you're gay!

Not that Batman is gay. Just because he and his "ward" run around in tights. :-?

Get over it

If you want to talk gay look at the 60's Batman TV show

Calling the cartoon characters gay is ridiculous

Hey, no one's saying Batman's gay. Just that there's a few things that make you wonder.

George Clooney's Batman was gayer than laughter.

Ah, fair do's. In that case, I don't know if The Batman is gay, but he is rendered in an very poor visual style. Maybe I'd watch the show if he DID have a transforming batmobile.

Poor Hal always gets the shaft. He's one of DC's most popular characters, and still riding high since Rebirth, but they never do anything with him outside of the comics. So freakin' sad.

No one can ever top Mark Hamil's Joker for me. At times, he was so over the top that you could actually believe the character was absolutely bat**** insane. At other times, especially in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, he reaches that sinister level of evil that so rarely gets seen in cartoon villains. Plus, his voice was just plain awesome. It got to the point with TAS that I watched it JUST to hope that the next episode would have the Joker in it. I absolutely loved it when he popped up in that two part Justice League episode. Great stuff.

JLA's been awesome. In fact, I'll go out and say that the majority of DC's been awesome since Infinite Crisis/OYL ( Heck, I've even been reading JSA). These last few 'character building' issues of JLA have been great, and I love how they're working so much with character interaction. I've always felt that stuff like that is lacking on team books, it's nice to see it paid such close attention to.
