Some GREAT news for me!

Back in December I got this hairbrained idea to start a business. Slowly I started building it from scratch and studying business and accounting to have any idea of what I was doing. The business suffered a bit of a blow since I found out we were moving and it wouldn't open for many more months. Another problem was getting the money for opening costs. My grandmother had said she'd cosign a business loan for me but has never committed to anything.

Til now! She has a gift store and she is going to start selling my merchandise in her own store, within a few weeks! I will have 50% share in the entire business! It helps both of us, and now not only will I have one store opening in the winter, but another already running! I can't believe my dream of being a businesswoman is already coming true at such a young age!

Brand name baby clothes and anything that relates to babies. Toys, too. She will sell women's accessories and other gifts. Yes, I know it's a very girly store. But it's a good business. She had one years ago and it did very well.

This is the best news I have gotten in a long, long time! Seeing something you've loved and worked hard on starting to come to fruition is SOO exciting. I was doubted by so many...but I have to give a LOT of credit to my grandmother. She is making this possible. But the move is intended to help boost business for her as well, so it's not exactly a freebie.

Remember, just keep on top of things, make good business decisions and you should do fine.

Awesome sauce. Best of luck to both of you.

I could definitely use the money, and the coolest (and the worst) thing is, I don't have to be present for this first store. Not like I could anyway, since it's five hours away. I trust my Grammy. She's been running her shop for almost a decade and won't do me wrong.
