Not really. Scroll down to the bottom of the forum index, and you see exactly how many current members there are.

Plus to many threads and topics?

Think of it this way

We have had a few board wipes, can you imagine how many there would be if they never happened?

Agreed, plus, isn't the point of a forum, to have a lot of threads and topics? At least enough that add something and aren't repeat topics or spam.

Sure, the memberlist counts 34,460 registered users but how many of them are inactive or have never posted? I realize that any number of the registered users with zero posts might just be anti-social Heavy Metal War players but can you really count any of them as true "Members of Seibertron"? I don't think I would.

QFT. I post and maintain a rockin' HMW team.

I have a HMW team, too, but you seem to have missed my point. I'm just saying they're more of a faceless part of the community. Kind of like that neighbor down the street that never talks to anyone and rushes back into his house any time he sees someone else outside. I'm not saying any of that because I think less of them. I mean, I "know" you people because I see you post around but how much does anybody know about **computron** who's been registered since 07-13-2003 and has no posts?

I wouldn't say all of us are faceless or antisocial, more like just a different part of the neighbourhood.

The rest may choose not to participate on the boards, but they're still members of Seibs. Though I guess that brings up what is the definition of a community? Is it only the social part of a neighbourhood that counts as a community, or is it every house and every person; including the anti-social cat ladies?

Neither would I and I hope I didn't give the impression that I did.

Also, thank you for making it more of a debate instead of a "you're wrong". I'm totally open to being shown why I might be wrong instead of being told I am and I very much appreciate that. On that note, It may be fair to say that there are different classifications of members. I don't mean for that to sound like I mean different levels but I couldn't think of a better word for it.

Now I'm sort of wondering about my original point and I wish there was some way to find out how many user accounts on the memberlist are actually completely inactive.

No worries, I personally like debates better than "You're wrong "no I'm not, you are" style or threads.

I think the only person who can actually see that would be seibs, running a check on everyone's last login date. Though that would be a neat stat to see.
