Marvel Universe cards

I used to collect the marvel cards when i was a kid, about 10-12 years old. Well I found my old trapper keeper full of them tonight, all still in those protective pages that hold nine cards and flip. All I can figure out about them is that they are dated 1993, say Marvel Universe, and were distributed by Skybox International.

Each card is part of a scene, and it takes all 9 cards for a full page to make the scene complete. Anyone recognize this setup?

I'm just wondering if they are worth anything and whether or not to stick them back in the closet.

Pretty much everyone from the Marvel Universe it looks like. Fantastic Four, X-men, Spiderman, the Hulk, Ghostrider, Captain America, and others. I must have 100+ characters cards, then I have a bunch of Unsolved Mysteries cards, and a whole bunch of Famous Battles cards, like Wolverine vs Cyber, Hulk vs Leader, stuff like that.

I've got pages upon pages of stuff like in this pic.

They are Marvel Series 4 cards. Personally, three was always the best to me.

I got a few pages of Series 2 cards as well, only know that because they actually say that on the card, unlike the other ones.

Unfortunately, the trading card market is pretty much dead. Sets like that generally go for about $5-$15. Chase cards can still fetch a relatively high price, though.

oh man i collected those..i have tons to. if there in good condition u might get a decent price for them if looking for selling but as God Magnus said trading cards as a market is dead. best bet is to go to a comic book con (something like Wizard world or Sandiago con) and find the ppl there who grade items to get a price then go on ebay.

I have those someplace. I also have a few cards from series 1, most of series 2, all of series 3 (and agreed they were the best set), and all of 4. I also collected all of the X-Men card sets. By far the best ones though were the original Masterworks set.
