I've been in college for about 6 years now.

Just started my new semester at a new school this August, and just finished up schooling at a tech school this past Saturday.

Yay college.

and congrats Grim on finishing up college.

I've been in classes since August 27, and I moved in a week before that. So I've only been here a few weeks.

I'd like to hear how a British person sounds speaking Spanish. An American sounds downright hilarious. I try to get people with accents to speak other languages so I can giggle. I bugged a "British" friend to try to get her to speak with an American accent. She wouldn't. Killjoy!!!

Well I'm not really British, my mum is a kid from Italian emigrants that went to England, she then met my dad at a karate tournament between her town and the German twin town.
So I'm actually German Italian, but have a British accent!
My Spanish is, crap, but I may tape myself speaking and upload it to youtube, once I get the hang of it.

A British German Italian?? Interesting. I am an American that was born in Italy. Perhaps I am American-Italian? LOL. Americans speaking German is just annoying. Most don't even TRY to sound German. Ich is always "Ick". MEH! Anyway, my German pronunciation isn't perfect, but it is miles ahead of my French. You should hear my fake British accents. There is one Wendy's I go to, and every time I speak in a different accent.

I can do a pretty authentic Southern accent....well, several of them, anyway. Like British accents, there is more than one Southern accent. I can do Tennessee, North Carolina, Geor-guh, hee hee. Personally I like Mississippi and South Carolina the best. Northern accents are harder to pull off. There IS no western accent.

The cockny British accent is kind of the low-class one, isn't it? I can't do that one to save my life. The one that the royals have is the sophisticated one. I could listen to it all day. ;;)

I started start this week. The school is extreemly badly organized and the overal education level is slow going and boring. The people in my class are all great though. The teachers are willing I guess, its just... meh

You wonder why the Scottish and Irish are nations of drunks, there's your answer.

It's scary how many accents there are in the British Isles. Ireland, feck, Northern Ireland, probably has as many distinct accents as the whole US. England has even more than that - every town and city has a different twang, some being vast gulfs apart. No one's going to confuse a Derry accent with a Lurgan one or a Belfast one, and no one mixes up a Geordie with a Scouser.
The Royals, I think they put that on. No one talks like without generations... of... inbreeding... Oh.
